There isn't a long game, actually. Unless Mueller moves to indict Trump, nothing will come of Mueller's report.
Trump has very openly and publicly obstructed justice but no one in congress has lifted a finger. Do you think that once the report is submitted members of the Republican controlled Senate will suddenly say, "Holy shit! He did obstruct justice, after all?"
He's doing it on Twitter for Christ's sake!
Everyone sees it.
No one gives a shit.
It's a quite sad place in US history we find ourselves watching.

How is someone suggesting a case be dropped obstruction? NOW if he actually acted to halt the investigation, that i could see as potentially being obstruction..

He did act...
When your boss "suggests" you do something, if you don't take his suggestion, you could be fired....
And look what happened. My guess is Comey would still be director had he listened to Trump. All though, Comey did not allow Trump to, it certainly doesn't mean Trump didn't attempt to obstruct justice.

Further, Mueller has proven Comey was right to not drop the case because the general has since pleaded guilty.

How do you reconcile that thought with the knowledge that Comey testified under oath that his people at the FBI didn't believe that Flynn did lie.

You are right grean. It’s really sad that the Rebulicans have allowed this shit. Nothing is going to happen to Trump no matter what the Report says. The new Republican is very Joe Paterno like. They will be judged at a later date. They are in denial. And the Evangelical wing and it’s Christian faction is going to hell if they believe in the Bible. Good news for them is they don’t really believe it any way
