Default Former Porn Actors Who Are Now Providers

I have been curious about this since I saw my first porn actress in the hobby. Why does one leave the acting profession to do hobbying full time? Also, it seems as though porn actresses are a stickler for covered activities for everything when most hobbyists hate it. TIA.

Some do it on the side for enjoyment or other reasons but the stickler for covered isnt surprising cos for official shoots they are required to take tests for STDs etc so seeing a "john" client doesnt impede them from still doing porn

That may be true if the provider is still active in doing films, however, my question was geared more towards those actresses who have retired from acting and are strictly providing, where the precaution for having covered FS is understandable, but having covered BJ or DATY is a show-stopper for a lot of clients, and the chances of getting an STD from oral is miniscule - in doing this 35+ years as a hobbyist, I have never received an STD and I have testing done quarterly.

Men can't test for HPV. HPV can give women cancer. Also, oral may have a lower chance of contracting STDs, but if you are sleeping with any volume of people uncovered who are also sleeping with a volume of people who are all being unsafe your risk goes up exponentially. I am not super into risking cancer, and a shocking number of people actually prefer to only see providers who are aware of and place emphasis on safety. <3

Yes, hobbyists hate it, clients do not. Every guy a girl sucks/fucks in porn is getting tested constantly. And not just tested but tested by specific industry approved outlets like Talent Testing Services where the results can be verified directly. Preventing people from using fake or photoshopped test results.

You don't like things covered? Find a girl friend. But don't act like women need to put their health and lives at risk just to make you happy. Providers are people, not a piece of meat you purchase to do whatever the hell you want with it.

Do I like uncovered, of course I do, but it's never a deal breaker for me. Hell, I'm selective about who I do uncovered with. I've even asked for covers with providers who don't require them. Why? Because I care about my health too.

Adult models are also more informed and educated and aware of their sexual health
Something that should be valued and respected

The average adult has little to none knowledge of Sti/Stds

This is why Porn performers may be “sticklers”

Thank you for all the porn actresses who commented on this thread. Very educational as to why things are done the way they are. I have received pms from a couple of ex-porn actresses also. Those responses have been very informational as well. More actresses that want to contribute are welcome. Hobbyists are not really the contributors I wanted to participate as their observations are more looking from the outside in, whereas actresses have first hand knowledge which is what I am looking for. In any case, thank you for your participation.

I'm a client and am working my way up in the industry. Having done armature work and have a shoot scheduled with a professional industry model/producer during AVN. So I know a whole hell of a lot about this. Its why I side with industry actresses on this issue. When I do my filming in January my testing has to be less than 14 days old and has to be done at a specific industry approved facility.

Saying you don't want to hear client opinions on this matter is part of the issue here. Mainly because you don't want to hear from clients who don't share your opinion. If the clients of Vegas aren't willing to demand the same standards you are, its less likely the providers of Vegas are willing to meet those standards.

A little tip for you, calling yourself a hobbyist isn't helping you either. The term has a negative stigma with some providers. Not all, many couldn't care less. But there is a growing opinion that clients and hobbyists are two different types of people, and some providers don't want to associate with the later.

I am not saying this applies to everyone, but the stigma is hobbyists are the ones who haggle over pricing and/or complain about services offered/not offered. The kind of guys looking for dirt cheap quick visits where they have a massive menu open to them, including more than one pop of the cork in less than 30 minutes even.

If a provider doesn't offer what you want, move on.

The original poster is welcome to make a post asking for opinions only from ladies or from a group like persons in the industry. If being involved in a porn shoot and being tested is what is required then I am also an industry veteran. jmaster299, if you wish to start a thread about your experiences as a Male performer you are welcome to do so. This is the second time you have been warned about attempting to stifle opinions of others. We welcome discussions on many subjects. Keep them civil.

Except I'm not trying to stiffle anything. I'm trying to keep this discussion going. I specifically say as much. You're the one trying to silence people here, not me.

That section was directed at the OP, since you chose to quote him. You have made it very clear you dont agree with him. You were not keeping anything going other than repeating your disagreement on the matter and saying he has a negative mark for being a hobbyist.

Start your own thread. Dont call out any specific hobbyists - yes. Have at it.

Hijacking this thread and calling out the hobbyist - no.

It is a very simple concept. I hope you choose to accept it.

I don’t care if you agree with me or not. If that person decides to post here it is a free and open discussion forum. I simply stated that I was looking for the opinions and experiences of former porn actresses. Unfortunately, reading comprehension is not what it used to be.

Folks.... As long as you keep it civil there is no problem with stating differing opinions. Simply quoting someone and disagreeing with what is quoted is a healthy discussion, not a reason to be warned not to disagree. It is not insulting to disagree with someone when you are only expressing your opinion in a civil manner.

This is a good discussion and neither side is completely correct. Each person has their own concerns and "rules". Each person should respect that and if that is not what you desire in the person you are seeing then contact someone else. There are plenty of ladies that cater to every different request. Doesn't make them right or wrong.

Not arguing with you, not calling you out, but please check you the title of your thread. It says "former porn actors" not actresses. As a reader it gives the impression that opinions from both male and female perfomers are requested.
