PLANNING my first visit to Omaha and am Extremely EXCITED!!
If anyone can send me Tips on Locations / Etc. PLEASE, I would forever be grateful..aiming for July 8th-11th
I prefer upscale accommodations w/ unique restaurant options..I'm a foodie. And of course shopping during down time.

If you want steak, go for Brother Sebastian. It is my shared opinion that they have the best prime rib in town.

You might look to stay at Sonesta ES Suites in Omaha (Almost at 72 and Dodge). I haven't stayed there and don't know the dining, but I have seen a provider there and the rooms are much better than the cheap places.

If you indicate your food preferences, we could probably suggest local eating that would match.

I was raised in an era where you ate what was served or nothing.
& Served Fine food /Wine for over a decade .So I love Food.
When I travel, which I have not in a very long time, I enjoy Unique non franchise Type establishments & GOOD FOOD .

You are obviously a well educated and sophisticated lady with refined tastes. With that in mind, I suggest you look into the three following ares of town for your stay:

The Old Market area has great historical character and charm. Many restaurant options, upscale hotels and entertainment. All within easy walking distance.

Midtown Crossing is a newer redeveloped area with good hotels and restaurants. The Gray Plume restaurant mentioned in one of the other replys is in this area. Again with easy walking access.

Aksarben Village is another recently redevolped area (use to be the site of the Aksarben horse racing track) nice hotels, restaurants and upscale bars. Also a pedestrian friendly zone.

I sinserely hope you have a wonderful visit to our fair city and I will be contacting you soon via PM to schedule what I'm sure would be an extremely pleasurable and unforgettable encounter.

I love Omaha I'm here now and there are some many nice people here and great places to eat. I'm going for a bike ride in the morning.

My Car was overheating simultaneously with the A/C not working..
Plus I had 1 solid confirmed appointment..
Therefore I did not make it.
I'm rescheduling for a visit this week
