Based on your reviews...hell yes, come visit Des Moines. Most hotels in West Des Moines. Best bet are ones near I80

Would help to know where in Iowa you will be since it comprises 56,276 sq.mi, has 99 counties and more than 1 major population center. While Des Moines is the largest, others like the Iowa City/ Cedar Rapids corridor, plus Waterloo, the IA/IL Quad Cities which include Davenport, Bettendorf IA, and Moline, Rock Island IL, on eastern side of the state, Council Bluffs and Omaha, NE and Sioux City western side of the state.

Hope this helps but since most think Des Moines is our only city, that is where you probably meant.
