I'm not a statistician or maybe not even a [good] prognosticator. I don't know if rates will go up or down. I will surmise that, if they do go up, not every provider is going to survive. Hobbyists (the ones that stick around) will have to start making wiser choices. This means the hard 10's in the provider ranks will get a lot of attention, and it will trickle down from there. Determining that exclusivity will be the golden goose may be wishing for the wrong thing, IMO.
What think everyone's glossing over/omitting is the stripper industry. With no [visible] internet boards to coalesce to, guys will take their hobby money and entertain strippers, maybe for OTC action. Or, are they targeting SC's, too?
My truest thoughts are that everything will be mostly ok. This site will either survive in a watered down shell of itself or a new one will surface.

Not sure what's going to happen either but I work by the main stroll in Oakland. While I seldom partake in street action any more, I do like to check out the scenery. I can tell you that the street talent has come up immeasurably in the last week. a couple of simply stunning young ladies out this morning that were probably making a living on nightshift 2 weeks ago.. I didnt stop and chat so I dont know if the service matches the visuals but for nw it looks like that's where some of the nightshift girls are going to try to drum up business.

Don't quite agree. If anything, since all the listing pages will be shut down and agencies gone the era of cheap snatch is over...P411 will become more important as will Ashley Madison. Whenever supply is limited prices go up, not down.

Actually, dating sites like Ashley Madison are likely to be targeted too.
Anything that even smells a little like the broad definitions in the bill is at risk.
C'mon people the personals site for "furries" is down over this. Amazon is quietly pulling rankings from the erotica section, romance section, and even sex toys.
The threat is real and the chill on free speech will spread wide, far, and deep into the world of unintended consequences.
Craigslist Personals
CityVibe
TER ads for the US
Several subreddits including Escort, Male Escort, and Sugar Baby among others
Pounced (Furries Personals)
Amazon Erotica section being stripped of book rankings
Amazon Romance section being stripped of book rankings
Amazon sex toys section being stripped of rankings
I'm sure the list is much longer and will get longer shortly after this unconstitutional bill is signed.
I wouldn't be surprised if Tinder shuts down due to their reputation as a "hookup" app.
The reach of this bill has yet to be completely realized.
But quietly many lawyers are lining up behind some of the less well funded sites so they can be part of the coming court battle.
If this bill stands, mark my words. Puritan America is going after porn next. In many ways Puritan America isn't that far from the Taliban that they make so much hay out of.

One thing that seems to be ignored is ability to pay. The US has been in a bubble driven economic upcycle that will eventually hit a wall(and this would/will be Trump's downfall, he said we were in a 'big, fat bubble' several weeks before the election-he should have stuck with that). When it does, the impact on demand(or the supply of customers) will be palpable; this is a discretionary purchase for clients. While 10-15% of the hobbyist base may well be fully immune to an economic decline,a recession of only 2/3rds the violence of 2007-9 will likely completely eliminate at least the same(or even a bit more) proportion of the hobbyist base. And of the remainder, at least half(at least) will reel in expenditures(generally, not just hobby), especially on discretionary things, due to not only personally losing employment/income but also due to observing others they know lose same. The 300 hour may become 250(or 225), the 250 hour may become 200(or 180), yadda, yadda.

Yes, the hobby is very much market driven. With the market up donations are only limited to what the provider can market herself for.
When the market goes down, that is when the wheat will separate from the chafe. The cream of the crop will be able to demand their perceived value and receive it as they will always have a client base and be in demand.
The lowering donations will occur at varying levels in the remaining pool of providers. Sure due to market forces and lack of client list, planning, etc. several will lower donations to hopefully generate business.
That will be when you see the old hooker tracks and strolls fill up. And the strolls that never left will just be busier.
Some providers will go back to dancing and discretely provide on the side as many clubs have strict rules against dirty dances and providing services outside of the club (especially the nicer/brand name gentlemen's clubs). I foresee the dive strip clubs getting busier as they usually end up with the dirtier dancers). I know I've seen former providers already dancing because of the BP adult section being taken down.

Absolutely true. The only difference is the weapons they use to impose their morals on everyone else.

[QUOTE=xfrankthetankx;106066992 6] when the wheat will separate from the chafe.
In the past decade, wheat's price has varied from $13.50 to $3.86 per bushel; current, $4.61. Chafe, couldn't find price history.
Continuing the prior theorized trend, perhaps the 500 hour becomes the 350 hour, yadda, yadda. Even the guys who really are impervious to an economic contraction(and only a slice of them hobby) will expect lower prices due to not only the other hobby tiers seeing prices drop, but due to seeing prices of all kinds of 'things' and 'experiences' decline.

Well, the demand will be limited, too. This board folding (if it does) will be just the excuse some guys need to move on. Some will just go back to their wives. Others will go to SC's and dive bars.
I'm not saying you're wrong. I don't know how it'll play out myself. I just don't see the ratio (hobbyist to provider) being some freaky imbalance equivalent to a post apocalyptic world, where the 'surviving' ladies can raise their rates through the roof.
It's like saying in the aftermath ALL the hobbyists will survive, but only ⅓ of the providers will. The surviving ratio, I suspect, will be about the same.
Raising their rates through the roof will just turn guys off. If a guy's comfort zone is say, $300, he's not going to all of a sudden start spending $600 to get the same service he was getting before. He can go to a SC with $300 and leave with a huge smile on his face.
But...you might be right. Who knows. We'll see how it plays out.

I would suggest you are wrong. http://www.nber.org/papers/w3675.pdf
I was a teenager when Oklahoma ended prohibition in 1959. As a fact, booze here was cheaper from a bootlegger than from a neighboring states stores. Regardless of your age, if you had the cash and phone number you could get booze delivered from a bootlegger. My father would drive to Wichita Falls to buy the booze he wanted that a bootlegger couldn't supply.

It's interesting that Trump had time to sign the bill, but didn't. With Congress not in session, the bill could potentially be pocket vetoed and have to go through the approval process all over again.

Strippers are a risk and if it becomes too obvious, club owners would kick women out. Good idea but the owner doesn't wanna risk it.
I think it's gonna decease all across the board, alot of people are just gonna leave and only the professionals will stay and have to charge more but a good amount of John's don't want seasoned veteran's they want young tight thangs. A good amount of the business is still based on fantasy and no one wants a 15 to 20 client a day girl and will pay big bucks.
I advise saving up and finding your favorite girls and sticking with them.
Word of mouth puts a girl who wants to stay low out there. That's not gonna work with those who value privacy. I've had a few girls change their munber when their number is out there all over the web.
Basically it's gonna be a few girls sticking to guys they can trust.

Government can't distinguish trafficking from hooking up, these rich folks see it all the same. One call, one missing person and it's gonna be harsh on everyone. With the news reporting everything for ratings it's gonna be a problem.

Y'all don't remember the exhorboorant prices of the telephone books days do ya? Hell, it was $200+ just to walk through the door. Anything else was big up charge.
Sure, there may be some fracturing of groups, some going higher, some lower.
I know for me, I am going to be promoting all girls to raise their rates.
