german reparations that never occured
https://www.express.co.uk/news/world...=recirculation
one would be surprised to know that the germans did not pay some countries WWII reparations.
In fact, Britain paid off its WWII loans from USA just last year. and the best part is, germany never paid any reparations to Britain for WWII damages.
another country Poland was also victimized by soviet russia on not gettiing reparations from germany.

The attitude of the World in general after WW-2 was to not repeat the follies of the post WW-1 Victors.
Look what we did in Japan. We helped them change from a feudal military dictatorship into a full fledged democracy.
We did the same thing in what became West Germany. True, the Soviet Union made a total mess of East Germany, but in the end, they failed and we now have a thriving German Republic.
It amazes me how many in the USA looked upon the types of governments imposed upon various countries by the USSR as utopian societies, the socialist dream, the true dictatorship of the proletariate. Societies where everyone was equal, "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs". Or in real world terms, " I can sit back and be a lazy piece of shit and let the Government take care of me........with your money".
Sounds like the modern platform of the Democrat Party.

Very good, snitchy! I guess you learned all that from reading JMK's "The Economic Consequences of the Peace"? Just like you read D'Souza and Taleb and Ayn Rand. You are a true intellectual, a man of ideas, aintcha! That's why there is another thread here devoted entirely to how brilliant you are. The Great Oracle of Eccie. Your knowledge is so vast there is nothing you can't explain. Except how to get your dick hard.

There is and was no legal or treaty obligation for Germany to pay reparations for WWII. 70 years later, the idea is absurd. Europe needs to look forward, not backward. It currently has it hands full trying to cope with a refugee crisis and a reassertive Russia - both problems the direct result of 8 years of odumbo foreign policy blunders.
Our WWII Allied bombings flattened and destroyed all major cities in Germany, inflicting many times over the damage suffered by Britain. After the war, the German economy roared back with the help of the Marshall Plan. Britain lagged and became known as the "sick man of Europe". Some Brits made excuses for their under-performance by blaming the fact that their factories were obsolete, while Germany was able to build brand-new efficient factories out of the war's ashes. A silly argument... but one that turns any logical case for reparations upside down.
Btw - Germany has paid billions in reparations to Israel over the years.

Snitchy Thinks the USSR Won the Cold War
Before the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, what was per capita income in East Germany v. West Germany?
"We will bury you."
