Default Broward County's "school to prison pipeline" initiative

Quote:
The NAACP has brokered a groundbreaking collaborative agreement on school discipline with Broward County Public Schools, law enforcement and its community partners. The agreement will serve as a model for school districts nationwide that aim to end the school to prison pipeline wreaking havoc in communities of color.

The collaborative agreement establishes proven alternatives to arrest for misdemeanor infractions by students that include common sense approaches such as counseling and mentorship.

Quote:
"The ACLU is committed to challenging the “school-to-prison pipeline,” a disturbing national trend wherein children are funneled out of public schools and into the juvenile and criminal justice systems. Many of these children have learning disabilities or histories of poverty, abuse, or neglect, and would benefit from additional educational and counseling services."

What else is not "adding up" is the newest revelation that not ONE as reported, but FOUR deputies set up a defensive perimeter behind their patrol units while the shooting was in progress at the school. That doesn't sound like "cowardice" as I was suggesting, but that sounds like "policies and procedures" within the department ... as is consistent the the SO agreements with the school district regarding making arrests within the school! Conflicting policies and obligations without clear instructions on what the response is to be ...

keep in mind the initial "alarm" was a "fire"! The deputies (3 more in addition to the one that resigned) arrived while the shooting was in progress.

The "feel good" mentality of the school administration set this shit up with a formula for disaster, and the Sheriff was a participant!

Now they (the Sheriff and the school district) are looking for blame!

I saw the excuse for a superintendent ... demanding a weapons ban!

I understand that the broward Sheriff resigned. the entire broward school board needs to resign. their policies were pernicious and created problems in enforcement. they are not interested in helping kids, but in making their ranking numbers, grades rates, graduation rates, attendance rates look good come election time.

The Sheriff resigned?

I head/saw the Deputy resigned.

And right now I'm thinking he shouldn't have, if 3 other deputies didn't enter the school building either.

Was the Sheriff colluding with the Russians also?

(He must have taken pointers from the Las Vegas epic event!)

Mojo ... is going to flip when he sees the conspiracy potential.

Could the 39 calls and 2 ignored reports by the FBI have anything to do with Cruz's caregiver "Intelligence Officer"?

It's clear why you can't figure out the connection, because you can't even compare two nonidentical Court's "ORDERS" to determine they are not the same! It takes "critical thinking" skills.

Do you have to go through life "painting-by-the-numbers"?
