If she is referring to traditional IRA's:

Early Distributions
If you take a distribution out of your traditional IRA before you reach 59.5 years, it is called an early distribution. You will owe not only the income tax on the money, but you also will be assessed a federal penalty tax equal to 10 percent of the money you withdrew. If you were in the 25 percent tax bracket and took an early distribution of $1,000, you would pay $250 in income tax and $100 for the early withdrawal penalty. You would net only $650 after 35 percent of your early distribution is taken for taxes and penalties.

Penalty Exceptions
There are certain circumstances where the IRS will waive the 10 percent penalty tax, although you will still owe income tax. The penalty will be waived if you take an early distribution because of permanent disability, to pay college tuition, to pay health insurance premiums if you’ve been unemployed at least 12 weeks, to pay unreimbursed medical expenses exceeding 7.5 percent of gross income, or to pay your heirs after your death. You also avoid the penalty if you withdraw up to $10,000 to buy or build your first house, take out money to satisfy an IRS tax levy, or to pay family living expenses if you are a National Guard reservist called to active duty for at least six months. You can also avoid the penalty if you take your distribution in a series of equal payments over multiple years rather than a lump sum.

You are completely right. Sadly, drama is what some posters on here live for--and if a story doesn't start out with drama they will work hard to divert it into the swamp if they can.

No need to name the guilty parties, their posts speak for themselves.

It need not be a matter of what you are charged.

I bought some bonds back in the dark ages that paid 9%. Later, I needed some money. I could have sold the bonds with no penalty, but it was far better to borrow the money at 4% and keep the bonds that paid 9%.

There are many other situations where borrowing is a better financial option than using what one has.

There are also a whole range of other reasons, one simple one being the money I have is in an account that others can see, and I do not want them knowing I needed to spend the money.

No drama, just was curious. I can understand in a business situation borrowing money to mitigate your risk of personal loss, But not in a personal situation as this.

I've heard about the tremendous wealth she supposedly had accrued and then seeing this thread is proof she's full of it.

I think the op should have kept this to himself, doesn't make her look good.

Curious, eh? I'll satiate you

FYI, I'm not too concerned about "looking good" in the context of coed tomfoolery. Sometimes willing to look bad is worth a lot more than putting on an image, I'm finding out

I've never claimed "tremendous wealth" haha. I have stated that I am proud I have been able to live a comfortable lifestyle, money not being something that is a stressor in my life, and that it is possible of living a life not being broke or close to it in four years of working this job alone.

You just don't believe me because I'm not up to your HWP standards, you know that. I imagine you have quite a lot of assumptions about the "kind" of women that can make certain amounts of money. It's called American conditioning and we all have it, we also have the choice to look outside of it and notice the changes that are taking place in society. Doesn't really change the fact of the matter.

This is a good post and I'm glad he felt pleased with the way I did business with him and lord knows coed could use some positivity sometimes!

I love what the OP posted about Jade. I love to hear about the good things that happen in this business. Positive beats negative

I assumed you had plenty of money because of the hooking and porn. So your American Conditioning (whatever the fuck that means) is out the window. What is the motivation for the op to post this to begin with? To show even a hooker can pay back a small loan? Ok

We give a lot of credit now a days for people doing the right thing and not fucking someone over. That's how our society is changing and its for the worst.

Yeah. If you choose to only see the worst all the time that's all you'll get out of life. Resignation is a waste of energy to me. Be aware of what needs to change but also be aware of what's already happening thats going in that direction. I will personally continue to use my voice

Great, use your voice, I don't care. I don't have resentment, I acknowledge reality. Also, look at your own life before trying to analyze mine. I promise that mine is great.
