This was my only semi-negative experience of the trip. Even though I viewed it as negative, it was still better than most of what is offered here! The falls is where you need to be. The further into the GTA you get, the worse the traffic and higher maintenance things become.

Agree, no need to add another 2 hrs to the trip. Everything you need is in Niagra Falls. Canadian side of course.

While you can have a good time in the Falls (I hobbied there also), it just doesn’t compare to Toronto. That extra hour drive is well worth it!

Having been to Niagara Falls and Toronto numerous times, I agree that Toronto is way, way better. Niagara is good, but the selection is very limited compared to Toronto. And, unless you go there in the dead of winter, the hotel prices are obscene and the place is completely overrun with annoying tourists and families with kids. Toronto is awesome all year around.
