Super time with Sadie and a Scare!
Sadie, one of the Arkansas legends was my date that evening. Fortunately this was not our first visit. If it had have been I believe we both would have acted differently.
We were in full make out mode on the bed. Literally right behind our location (a fact we were not aware of!) the police were training officers in a fashion that involved loud speakers and sirens!
Much to our surprise, app. 25 feet away from us, but with a high fence separating us, we began hearing commands from an authoritative voice and super loud megaphone to come out with hands up!
Needless to say, this got our attention and we laid looking at each other and both were trying our best to figure out what was going on. There was no window that direction nor do I believe we would have peeked out of it. Our voices nearly above a whisper trying to figure out a possible exit strategy. Which if we had been the object of the command, there was no exit!
After a minute or two that seemed an eternity, the unflappable Sadie decides she wasn't leaving until "I'm gonna get mine and you get yours, ignore them!"
So the session continued and upon escorting Sadie to her car did we find out a bit more of what had aged us. Yes, the state police were training officers certain ways to handle traffic situations that might involve conflict. They were still training but were much quieter after the initial scare.
Fortunately Sadie and I had many more sessions but never again at that location.
