gambling and prostitution, some of the things handled by the vice unit.... imagine all the money the city and state could make off taxes if they would actually get the sticks out of their asses and legalize them? Maybe we wouldn't need to make every new highway a toll road.

This from a gambler who plays legally at the Indian Casinos and Vegas the illegal gambling gets 10x more attention than prostitution.

Vegas and Indian Casinos funnel money into the local political campaigns via lobbyist to keep the heat on illegal 8 liners, gaming halls, organized card games, bookies....some old Korean ho's and few rag tag independent hookers will not over take the spot light and LE manpower poured into the gambling issues in Dallas.

They will reorganize the Vice unit but gambling will be the focus with maybe some media grabbing headlines of a couple of tired old hookers being taken off the streets with some lame under cover operations in the Spring.
