It is a John Ford Movie - but not Fort Apache
Answer - 3 Godfathers (1948 Version)
John Ford had made this film in 1936 with Chester Morris and Walter Brennan and Lewis Stone and was not satisfied with it, so he redid the movie this time with John Wayne, Harry Carey Jr. and Pedro Armendáriz.
