cape Girardeau road trip/interest?

Hey guys, a friend of mine just moved to that area, and I was thinking about making a trip to visit, while there I would like to hobby, is there any interest there, or nearby there? It's about an hour drive from St.L so I am doubtful that many would make the trip there to see me..Any info is appreciated.

Apparently you must think speed limits are merely advisory. Google maps suggests that STL to Cape is about two hours (a little less, but not enough to count), and that comports with my experience (I drive from Memphis to STL (a fourish hour drive) fairly often, and Cape is close enough to half way as to not matter much. Sainte Genevieve is more like an hour south of STL, and Cape Girardeau is about an hour south of Ste. Gen).

There is the occasional hobbyist in that area who occasionally posts here; whether there are enough of them to make the trip profitable for you I can't say.
