Default Cell Phone Usage

This is probably not the right forum but I am curious if most guys have a second cell phone to use for hobby activities. With the rapid advances in technology I am finding it increasingly difficult to hide with location tracking/sharing, text message and call logs easily accessible online, etc.. A second phone seems like the only answer but that comes with its own set of challenges and risks. Curious to know how what others are doing. Thanks!

Play the cards right and you can have as many as 5+ numbers on one phone! It is a pain in the ass to manage but it works. Just gotta scratch your head and figure it out. I ain't no secret agent man or a rocket scientist and I figured it out. Also helps when nobody's around check'n your shit.

Three of the numbers I use for text only but with some effort I can make and receive calls too.

Disposable phones are the easy way to go and you can add at least one extra onto that one.

A hobby phone is the safest, but if you have a SO it may be hard to explain why you have one. There are lots of phone apps that let you use other phone numbers on your existing cell phone.

I've been thinking about this myself, and will probably get a hobby phone soon. Seems less risky than having stuff on my actual phone, and if anyone asks questions you can always make up some BS about needing a burner because your other wasn't working.

Lesson in life. Never assume the other half is stupid! You'll look more stupid explaining yourself!

Hard as hell to come up with a plan that is "Murphy" proof.

there are also some ladies that won't see you if your not using a phone they can verify your name...like no burner phone or google number because it might be LE. You can always move on to the next girl but if you REALLY wanted to see the first girl.....

Thanks, that all makes sense. Any tips from anyone who has family location sharing enabled on their primary phone? How do you handle that? Leave that phone behind and hope nobody is trying to get in touch?

That's easy. If you tend to forget your phone at home or the office occasionally, it's no big deal when you intentionally leave it behind. If you never forget your primary, that's an easy habit to develop. If someone is trying to contact you, they can leave a message and you get back to them when you are reunited with your phone.

why is that??

I use google voice and hide the app in a folder.....or just delete messages as you go.

not a big deal

of course, if you gotta get laid by someone who is not the person you have a legal contract with(wife) then you have bigger issues than needing a burner phone.

I don't understand what you are asking. I said there are options for using apps on your main phone. Google Voice is one of those options, as you mentioned.

I only use PM to communicate. No phones = discretion

A gent once told me he kept a burner phone in case his real phone crapped out. Cheap backup for peace of mind

Have heard using "private searching" on your computer so it won't show in your history
