Have you guys heard of there being guys setup off of SA? If you don't talk about sex and there is no money exchange you would think ur safe but as we know you just showing up at a hotel gets u busted w/o talking abt details when it comes to escorts.

Was not sure if it was the same deal w just meeting for a drink. I

LE will try anything once, but it is doubtful at best.

Dinner is not illegal and does not imply anything LE considers illegal will occur.

But always be careful. LE will figure out a way to charge anyone who shows up at a sting with something based on LE's assumption of intent alone.

Just no money for sex.

Never heard of any set up on SA. Seems like a long way to go for the return, but then our fucking idiot constables will spend thousands to bust a few guys for misdemeanor fines.

I tend to think, from what I've heard, that there is just more inexperience on SA than perhaps other places.

Your lawyer friend is correct, however LE will still ticket or arrest you because they assume all men and women arrive at their sting location with the intent to solicit illegal activities from the undercover female/male/transgender officer or informant.

I have a lawyer friend as well who specializes in criminal defense and has dealt with the victims of local sting operations (always make friends with someone you know is going to law school). Until the lawyer can see the video that LE are guaranteed to be recording including clear audio the lawyer can't guarantee any outcome to any client no matter how much money, etc. they have.

Until then the ticket and any associated media coverage are public record along with any associated court proceedings up to dismissal which is the best case scenario.

So bottom line, as soon as something seems off keep your damn mouth shut or leave before even exiting your vehicle if things are that obvious (nothing illegal about being lost).

The minute you come through that door though, you're guilty and the takedown team is ready to take you in.

Take your ticket or trip to county jail and hope you don't end up on TV (good luck with that one...). Then get a damn lawyer and hope for the best (if you're going to be in the hobby, I'd keep a lawyer on retainer, just a thought).

It's naive to think that LE are going to let you walk away from a sting scot free.

Unless Unique Carpenter or someone from the Legal forum has something more to offer I'd stay away from anyone you can't verify. Especially if they are on BP or SipSap.

But yes our constables are big enough idiots that it is not past them to invest the time and effort to flip someone on SA and use their account to lure in unsuspecting men or women.

I've met several gals from SA and a similar site, and would say that I've had no communication that even came remotely close to giving me the spidey sense tingles. Of course, I'm meeting them usually for coffee or lunch first, and agree with Crimson Dynamo that while it's possible, it would be pretty low return.
