Colin chose to speak out against police violence. He knew there would be blowback for doing so and did it anyway. Good for him. Those of us from military families would never use this form of protest. However I can certainly see and respect why he did. He may never play ball again, but he did make an issue front and center on a stage that millions watch. Mission accomplished.

The NFL has every right to shun him, however. He was a backup at the time he began protesting. The NFL may have endured it from a starter, but not a backup no matter how skillful.

I haven't seen where he has complained publicly about not being signed. It's come from others, as far as I know. Got to tip your hat there.

I know servicemen of all colors are deeply offended by Colin's protest, understandably. They bled and lost friends. Those sacrifices were made in vein if Colin could not protest as he did.

When those same seevicmen ever get the moral courage to stand-up for its own citizens being killed willy nilly by cops then talk to me about what they bled and lost. Lots of citizens bled and lost as well fighting for basic civil rights...so military vets arent the only ones to sacrifice. The fact that they see this issue through the lens of their white privledge masquaeding as patriotism tells me they're just like everyone else and wont ever get it. if liberal blacks quit lying about or ignoring truth and statistics and became honest about things like education and family and crime

then liberal blacks can start the process of either claiming and/or reclaiming their fellow black's rightful economic and societal position just like all other americans

many, if not most, liberal black leaders are upper income and have received preferential treatments in most all things, yet their hatreds fuel even more hatreds

I have never heard any verse except the first. I love the first verse and it routinely brings tears to my eyes. Historians disagree on meaning of the third. So why do sissy and others have a problem with the first verse?
