Well RL I guess that means I am good for another ten years of fun... I was lucky I guess in that I found the hobby while I was still in my early twenties and have never slowed down in the twenty plus years I have been involved in it. I have had a few long term gf's that put a damper on the fun but for the most part I have stayed active for about 24 years straight. I have watched first hand the advent of the internet as it relates to the hobby and seen first hand how it changed the way things were done.
When I first started the hobby I only knew of street walkers as a kid growin up. I never knew of escorts or agencies. I took a job in one of the first casinos to open and it really opened my eyes. I noticed a group of girls who would be with different men gambling and having fun night to night. I started talking to them and being young and naive I still didnt get it. One of the ladies took an interest in 21 year old me and asked me to go out after work for a drink. Well that night I learned about the joys of a sexually liberated woman. She was fifteen years older than I and fully in touch with her sexuality. She explained how they worked and how it was a job like any other job a woman could have. Albeit with much better pay than most jobs in those days. Her rates were 160 an hour back then this was 93.
Things really took off here on the coast when the internet really took off. I guess it must have been around 96/97 I had met a girl from new orleans named Krista. She had an internet message board I think it was called "welcome to bed" or "Behind closed doors" or bcd. Its so long ago now I cant remember anymore. She isnt with us anylonger but she was a awesome women who I still remember fondly. It was there I found out about aspd and things have never been the same since. Aspd set the groundwork for the modern hobby board.
Then came along Craigslist and the hobby became mainstream. The rates came down and the number of girls dabbling in the hobby went up. For better or worse it then bp have changed the face of the hobby like no other. I keep waiting for the next big thing. I figure it will be some kind of app that puts us horny men in touch with willing girls nearest our location via our smart phones. Kind of like tinder for hookers.
All in all I have great memories of my years in the hobby. Sure there have been some bad experiences but the good far outweigh the bad. I have made some lifelong friends along the way both providers and fellow hobbiest. I even still talk to the first provider who brought young basscat into the fold all those years ago. She left the hobby and got married and moved far away from the coast. She is now approaching 60 and has a head full of white hair.
So RL if I make it to your age and am still apart of the hobby community I will count myself a lucky man. Just curious if I make 50 years of active hooker banging does eccie buy me a gold watch? Maybe a gold condum?
