Ford F150!
I owned 3 before and bought a GMC a year ago.
Wish I bought the Ford F150 King Ranch.
Sweet Truck/Great look & Ride.

GMC has a few issues (GM will not admit to the Transmission problems yet but keep coming up with a patch / last two did not work). Shifts really rough.
OK truck but buying another F150 next time.

You are correct about the tranny problem or shifting issues with GM half tons. When slowing down and turning and then accelerating to speed back up, the truck acts like it can't find a gear and stutters without power for a few seconds until it figures out what to do.
Is that the issue you are referring to?

I'm a GM guy, my BIL has a Texas Edition GMC that never stops. Saw him 2 weeks ago and it had 311K on it. I used to sell vehicles on a tote the note basis. Nothing beats a Chev or GMC longevity wise. Fords traditionally had electrical problems, Dodge transmission problems, and imports had overheating issues. It was not unusual for me to witness a V6 Chev PU run for 300K and the V8 would never die if even marginally maintained, like skipping every other oil change and never changing the air filter. I know of two persons that had Xterras (essentially a Titan) that developed leaking head gaskets at 150K. I drive a crewcab Duramax Dooley, has only 165K on it, and I expect it is at 50% life expectancy.
