The untreatable gonorrhea apocalypse is a lot like "catastrophic anthropogenic climate change" ... the predictions are reruns and the "prophets" are never held accountable when their prophecies fail.

Penicillin-resistance became a significant consideration in treatment of gonorrhea 40 years ago...the emergence of anti-microbial resistance is a general problem in bacterial, fungal, protozoal, etc., infection.

The nosocomial infections like the one Congressman Scalise acquired are more worrisome than gonorrhea for now. Evidently the hospital where he contracted it is a real shithole. Why not bolt for the Walter Reed?

Hmmm … According to the article, N. Gonorrhoeae can live in the back of the throat. I wonder if that means that short-dicked guys have a natural advantage in evading infection ;-)
