Maybe releasing repeat offenders charged with gun crimes is part of the problem?

"Supporters of legislation to crack down on repeat gun offenders continued to tweak the measure Wednesday to try to win over reluctant African-American lawmakers who fear the proposal will land more minorities in jail without addressing underlying causes of violence."
http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/l...524-story.html

""The gang members know that when it comes to judges, the courts and the sentencing, it's a joke, and that should not exist. They are very smart. They understand what's happening, and they know where the system is porous," Emanuel said. "I fully support lowering sentences for minor drug offenses, but I support absolute, tough, certain sentencing for repeat gun offenders. I don't understand what it takes for legislators … the repeat part is your first signal that they don't belong on the streets terrorizing kids and families who can't just sit on their front porch."

[QUOTE=Mr MojoRisin;1059703556]America will leave the Middle East when Israel tell us it's time to leave, that's how it works.

Jim, you are very plugged in. Most people are scratching their heads over your post. Your right on the money 100%. Since I'm not Jewish i don't want to say 90% of the problem over there is them

[QUOTE=garhkal;1059703007]Actually Dil he's right. We no longer see people willing to compromise, 99% of the time its coming from the leftist dems though.. THEY WANT it all, and won't budge. Take an ep of house of cards for example. They had a 'teachers bill' being discussed. both sides came into a room, and one side was adamant that "NO teacher rating system for pay".. AND the other side was adamant about something else.. They spent a few hrs in there, putting other things on a white board, moving things around to where both sides agreed.- How was it Clinton & Gingrich balanced the budget. Whatever they did maybe they can pass that on

Don't you mean the Opioid epidemic.. Bunch a rich kids and hillbies its a health crisis. Inner city addittion is criminal ? Thats racist and I readily admit it started with Reagan, adopted by Bush Sr and put in to full play by Clinton. The 3 Biggest drugs and arms dealers in US History

And imo they should STOP spending all that cash SAVING The overdoses dunces.. ESPECIALLY those who are repeat OD'ers..

You are a really compassionate man. Let me guess your a Christian Republican whose favorite book is the Bible. I take that back, that is not the Christian Philosophy

Hail Comrade!

And that's the issue, the black politicians don't WANT to address the underlying causes of violence in black communities (DRUGS< lack of father figures, lack of god, lack of morals, and imo general SAVAGERY).. so Any attempt to 'stopping repeat offenders will fail, cause the black politicans will whine its just "racial profiling" and so won't vote for them..

Actually i am Agnostic. BUT i feel if they wanna keep breaking the law and try to kill themselves via ODing on stuff they KNOW IS poisonous, why should we stop them??

Plus you say compassion. Which is more compassionate.
Telling a loving husband (or wife/kids) that he CAN'T help his wife(son/daughter/husband/mother etc) die off the WAY THEY WANT TO, cause they are on life support/in hospital etc, cause that would be 'assisted suicide and thus a crime',

or telling druggies "Go ahead and snort what ever the hell you want, we will just expend tax payer money to save your dumb ass, no matter HOW many times we have to save it"

That is some damn ass backwards idea of compassion there..

Mexico is a major player in the heroin export business, they have flooded America with cheap heroin and meth that they manufacture. Perhaps securing our southern border would be a wise idea.

"Mexican heroin is flooding north as U.S. authorities trying to contain an epidemic of prescription painkiller abuse have tightened controls on synthetic opiates such as hydrocodone and OxyContin. As the pills become more costly and difficult to obtain, Mexican trafficking organizations have found new markets for heroin in places such as Winchester, Va., and Brattleboro, Vt., where, until recently, needle use for narcotics was rare or unknown"

"Pike and other DEA officials say the spread is the result of a shrewd marketing strategy developed by Mexican traffickers. They have targeted areas with the worst prescription pill abuse, sending heroin pushers to “set up right outside the methadone clinics,” one DEA agent said."

Well I say that based on what I've read and heard in video interviews, straight from the horses mouth. That horse is Netanyahu. Israel is considered to be America's only ally in the Middle East. I consider them more like a frienemy more than anything else.

Just like i see yours but don't agree with it..

But then again, many of my views some others consider heartless.
Like i feel if Prisoners wanna shank one another, then why should we the tax payer pony up to give them health care to save them.
Or if prisoners wanna riot and burn their prison down around them, why should WE pony up to rebuild it. THEY MADE THE mess, now they can live in it.
And linked to that, i always laugh when i hear people say "WE can't do that to convicts, its too cruel". BUT MANY OF those convicts are there CAUSE THEY WERE cruel to others. So why should we worry about if we are being cruel to them or not?

"Bad, Bad Leroy Brown"
by Jim Croce

Woah!

Well, the South side of Chicago
Is the baddest part of town
And if you go down there
You better just beware
Of a man named Leroy Brown

Now Leroy more than trouble
You see he stand 'bout six foot four
All the downtown ladies call him "Treetop Lover"
All the men just call him "Sir"

And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

Now Leroy he's a gambler
And he likes his fancy clothes
And he likes to wave his diamond rings
In front of everybody's nose

He got a custom Continental
He got an Eldorado too
He got a 32 gun in his pocket for fun
He got a razor in his shoe

And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old King Kong
Meaner than a junkyard dog

Now Friday bout a week ago
Leroy shootin' dice
And at the edge of the bar
Sat a girl named Doris
And ooh that girl looked nice

Well he cast his eyes upon her
And the trouble soon began
Cause Leroy Brown, he learned a lesson
'Bout messin' with the wife of a jealous man

And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

Well the two men took to fightin'
And when they pulled them from the floor
Leroy looked like a jigsaw puzzle
With a couple of pieces gone

And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damn town
Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

And it's bad, bad Leroy Brown
The baddest man in the whole damned town
Badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog
Yeah, badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog

Why should we worry about be cruel to them?. Good question. maybe because as we advance as humans we realize an "eye for an eye" is not very evolved as a species. Just like torture and waterboarding, thats not who we are as a people. I dont care what Trump and his 35% approval and fans think

I understand it, but its very low level of consciousness
