i don't have a wsj subscription so i can't read the full article. if someone who does wants to take the time, post it here. but i don't need to read it all to know the validity of it.

Transnational liberalism breeds resentments and anxieties that are only beginning to surface across the developed world.



this says it all. years ago, in the mid-90's i was working for a small outfit in Indiana. at lunch one day the topic of religion came up don't recall how but i told everyone at the table that in the future, muslims would become radical fanatics. all the doe eyed liberals howled in protest. called me a racist of course bahhaa the typical liberal reply. this was years before 9/11 and well before the rise of ISIS.



i wonder what those doe eyed lib's would say today? bahhaaa probably still deny it.

I am all for embracing Nationalism, but all of the Religious nuts, from Muslims, Hindus, Christians, etc, can stay the fuck out of Government.

Nationalism means giving every citizen of a Country the opportunity to succeed, and live their lives in the concept of individule pursuit of happiness.

The Government's role is doing all things possible within the Law to insure this happens.

That includes.....
A fair a equatable taxiing system that does not stifle creativity and initiative
National Defence
Protecting our borders and our American Culture.
An education system that insures no person willing will be deprived of an education.
A viable health care system that insures no person will be deprived of nessessary health care.
Limiting Beauracratic Entanglements that do nothing but stifle productivity, individule initiative, and entrepaneaurship.
Always recognizing the Governments serve the people, not the other way around.

A major problem is that most of the borders in the middle east are fake borders. You had tribal regions and areas of ancient sites but few borders until after World War I. The Europeans set down with a map and started drawing lines. The Saud family got the Arabian peninsula (Saudi Arabia), England created the British Mandate and installed a monarchy to rule over it plus the Kurds, Armenians, Assyrians, and Arabs. Abu Dubai was man made. Only Israel, Iran, and Egypt have long roots in the region with civilizations that go back over 3,000 years.
