Yes, some fellows leave an indelible imprint, but that isn't the entire point of references. Life happens, people change. Providers want recent vouches to also establish that Hobbyists haven't started exhibiting unsafe behavior, as L2P alluded to, like being overly aggressive, becoming stalkerazzi, or pressing for uncovered full service.

I'm sure you linger fondly in MANY memories, SNL.

I must say I've been lucky having providers I've seen 2, 3, 4 years ago remember me right off. Some I've seen multiple times during that period, others I've seen just once. One PM and we're set.

Still this is a good thread because most providers don't remember...or would rather not remember their clients from that far back and would rather have recent refs to be on the safe side.

I had a guy using me as a ref at least 2-3 times a week. Id not seen him in months & was still getting requests! So, finally, i messaged him & asked him to please stop using me. He got pissy & sent a rude message. Fyi: id only seen him 3 times.

I contact p411 okays if they are OLD okays. For example, if his most recent okay is from March of 2015.(did that recently) otherwise I don't bother.
