How about the the significance of Black men who ignore color to be real and contribute to their community? And in this particular case, to a White person in AL. Not all Blacks are thugs, just as not all Whites are decent. There's good and bad in all of us no matter the color of skin.

Sure there are bad apples out there that make it look bad for their own race of people, but there's always those who will rise above the stereotype.

And there will be those that will be an insult just not their own race, but to the entire human race.

I don't have an anti-race policy of any kind so my no AA is no Assholes Allowed lol and every race has those.
So.....which that said "brothas" are welcomed.
I haven't toured FL at all but I've recently had my eye on Pensacola (and Jacksonville).

Well here is probably a change of pace for what I assume is a craptastic thread... (I only read the first page when I joined, but I assume the entire thread stayed about the same tone)

An answer to the OP:

I moved here from a large college town and very rarely ever saw the "No AA" line

So, after arriving here and seeing it was fairly common, even among some AA providers I started to ask those that I visited why.

Here is what I was most often told:

1) far more likely to have problems with AA clients in this area

(I asked what problems and always received several examples such as beat up, ripped off, too rough, etc)

2) more likely to catch something from an AA in this area than from all others combined

3) more likely to have follow up problems after the appointment was over

(When asked what, I was told stalking, interference in real life, etc)

So, to the OP: that is what the results were when I asked the same question.
