Default Is everyone okay? New Orleans East Chef HWY.

My house was spared from the tornado but not far from me there was destruction and Devastation and total loss I hope everyone in New Orleans or that someone knows someone in New Orleans East checks on them and make sure everyone is safe. May God bless everyone and if I can be of any assistance please let me know. It could have very well been my house but God spared me and hit the tornado 2 miles away.... I am sad!!

When I seen where the tornado had hit, I thought of you and your new home. Way to close! Really messed up some places on Chef! Glad you're OK.

Yes when the storm came through my lights went out and the rain and wind was like a hurricane. My alarm on my phone blasted to take shelter. I was really scared. But I came out unscathed....
The people in Eastover and Old Spanish trail lost alot of homes flattened to the ground. Chef Hwy. is closed al the way from My area Downman till Little Woods.... Alot of people taken to hospital by way of ambulances Ect. Power is off for most people.
I pray everyone had insurance....
I am sad.
What to do now for some.
Thanks to everyone who called to check on me and my new little home!!

If you work in the city and live in East or Slidell, all exit ramps are closed to exit off...So be prepared for heavy traffic on the way home. Be safe everyone.

I just took a drive for the 1st time down Chef since the tornado. I went to a place that I thought may be open to get a brake sticker for my new car. The place I went to was open but it was very close to where the tornado touched down.

I proceeded to go check on a friend and her daughter on Gawain st. after I left the tag station. The National Guards were on the corners with oozies directing trafffic.

I was forced to go the back way to get to my friends apt. BUT I was able to see the wreckage of the homes hit. All I saw was blue tarps on roofs, and some houses had no roofs if the house was even standing at all.....
The whole neighborhood looked as if a big bomb was just dropped from a fighter jet.

I cried so bad for the people affected. My heart goes out to the people!! I wish I could win the Powerball to help those people. I wish I could wash away the tears they cried as their homes were once again lost to disaster.

I wish the pain they feel could be lessened.....
I wish....
