What exactly does "very far past" mean? Are we talking eons? The Mesozoic period? Or like, 1940?

May I suggest enlightening yourself with the current day political situation (or lack thereof) on countries throughout Africa (the continent) especially those in North Africa (Libya, Sudan, Chad). There are several groups (ISIS, Al-Shabaab among others) who have infiltrated life in these countries. While I'm no ISIS scholar, my limited knowledge of these groups tells me that they aren't the friendliest to women's rights. I'm all for the advancement of women, but to hold up Africa (the continent) as some sort of shiny beacon of women's rights is...well, its just ....not really something I'd recommend at this point in time.

I'm sorry its winter in Chicago. I hear Northwestern Memorial Hospital has an excellent staff of psychiatrists who would be happy to help you get through the winter blues.
