Considering the list of "usual suspects" to attend I'm coming to the conclusion that "Alternate" is used in the "life style" meaning of the word and "the short guy" is advocating a different inauguration to accommodate those who a "feeling" a different gender than the one God/Nature assigned them genetically when they were being formed in the womb.
