Does it ever! It would seem like they love to build roads in dry washes and wonder why every time they get a little rain they end up ass deep in water. It might be dry right now but it will rain and it will flood.

But I spent years in Florida where it rains every day in the summer and then come the winter the rains set in for weeks at a time.

The current rain spell is supposed to be done by Monday.

Yes, it floods here occasionally. The last really bad one was back in 2002, and before that in 1998. In both cases it was not a harsh rain but a slow steady rain that lasted for days.

Just be smart about it and stay away from the low water crossings, no matter how harmless they may appear.

Check out Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Texas Flood", therefore proof, that it does flood in Texas.
"Texas Flood"
Well there's floodin' down in Texas
All of the telephone lines are down
Well there's floodin' down in Texas
All of the telephone lines are down
And I've been tryin' to call my baby
And I can't get a single sound

If you live in Texas for 50 years, you'll spend 40 years wishing that it would rain and 10 years wishing that it would stop.

Well if a "Texas Flood" hits and it feels like "The Sky Is Crying", we'll tell everybody that you "Couldn't Stand The Weather" and moved to Sioux Falls.
