I hate that you decided to leave us in the heat of battle. I understand though, you were always a "conscientious objector" concerning this conflict. Yet you dove in to make your opinions known to all. And I understand your distaste for conflict and while your choice was a bit disappointing, does not surprise me. What surprises me is that you hung in there this long.

It's been a huge honor for me to have you consult with me as your peer. Your input and levelheaded assessment has always been of invaluable assistance. Even when you first inquired of the "drama" over Vanessa Ink, when you came to the smell of smoke when most would have run the opposite direction. Like the "Kamikaze" of ancient Japan, a divine windstorm, against the Mongol fleet of Kublai Khan. You came at just the right time, And stood up for what you believed to be right and honorable. Without any regard to your status as a NEWB or not, YOU, went where most newbs fear to tread. You asked to be informed adequately and armed yourself with knowledge based on fact, and not speculation. You hit your marks with precision. You asked for no quarter and gave none.

I applaud your guts sir. You make us proud to count you among the BlackKnights of the Panhandle. You are most welcome to return as you see fit. You will be missed, friend. You have done well, Senpai.


Your Sensei would like you to know that you were a worthy senpai, quick to listen, slow to speak. A trait some NEWBS would do well to learn. You were always alert and most loyal. There was never a question on where you stood, whether we agreed or not, you didn't make any excuses for taking a stand.

I hope your journey will take you where our paths may cross again. If it be on TER grounds or in the field of conflict, it will be an honor to have you be my wingman once again.

I'd be willing to bet that anyone who happens on this thread or the others and doesn't know the background would likely arrive to the same conclusion. Don't take it personally. Don't sweat it.

It's like when somebody brings a 10-page thread to my attention. 9 times out of 10 I will reach 2 different conclusions when I scan through the posts vs going back and reading each post thoroughly and carefully. Probably happens to all of us, more than any of us care to admit.

It's also not out of the realm of reasonable thinking that a post that hits another member with a barrage of names, insults, and sarcasm might draw the attention of a moderator on this board, even the most fair-minded and level headed ones....not just the power hungry.

You're a passionate mother fucker that's for sure! (damn, there I go with the name calling) I appreciate that and encourage that kind of energy and enthusiasm toward presenting your side of things and stating your case. I would, however, dial back some on the confrontational nature of some of your posts. While some appear to be quite justified, others are perhaps unnecessarily forceful and come across as bombardment or just pounding your point home. It's the latter that could draw the ire of staff and possibly a larger portion of the readers and community in general than you may have intended.

What I found offensive from DB was that not only did he insult a member, new to our community, that had left once before, and only just returned recently at your request and our combined effort. Was that even though I'm not a bible thumping rabid Christian leftist, I find it particularly calloused and unnecessary to profane the name of DEITY by taking it in vain that I would not care or dare to repeat it for fear of offending someone that might have strong beliefs or affiliation.

So not only did DB cross one line in poor taste, he actually crossed an immensely offensive line, equal to, or more so than a racial epithet. Called him out on one, haven't on the other, yet.

Calling him a DICK, why should that bother him? Isn't that his chosen name/handle after all? If he can't HANDLE that, he should ask to have the admins change it for him.

What warranted the points if it had been a reminder? That remains the question. And was there any enforcement of the other party for his offense? I sure as hell, motherfucking hope so St.C. Otherwise it would be selective enforcement All over again.
