At the request of some hobbyists for a similar questionnaire to the one I provided the ladies...inquiry for the gentlemen out there.

1. How old were you when you first paid for companionship?
2. How did you get the idea to do so?
3. What was your life situation when you did (married/single/employed/homeless/other/etc)?
4. How long have you been a hobbyist?

I'd wandered across Maggie McNeill's site and had browsed it and ECCIE for several months before starting to actively pursue paid companionship.

I'd browsed local Backpage ads for quite some time, but didn't feel secure enough to book an appointment with any of them. One ad mentioned the acronym ECCIE, so I looked it up and came on here, and eventually gained my second set of lessons in "the hobby". Being able to see reviews and feedback on providers finally made "hobbying" viable to me.

Not getting any at home, so posted ad on CL looking for a casual encounter, a woman offered sex for money, I accepted, had 2 more CL encounters, then started looking for escorts on here, BP, etc.

59, never had the need to pay (directly) before then.

Menopause killed it dead at home. I pondered civie relationships but didn't need someone developing any emotional attachments and potentially trying to get involved with my real life because other than a home sex life, my real life was and still is just fine.

I am very security minded and BP seemed like a crap shoot. I found ECCIE, spent 6 months here studying how to do this as safely as possible, kept my mouth shut for those 6 months and just learned plus I joined P411. I finally got the courage to make my first appointment, choosing a very well regarded and highly reviewed lady (now retired). I of course had zero references but somehow sweet talked her into seeing me.
