Im thinking about going to hippie hollow this week. It will be my first time out. What can i expect and when are the best times to go.

If you like the idea of gay guys checking out your package on one end and really old naked hippies with beer bellies and sagging tits on the other have at it.
Up the hill in the bushes there were some Mexican workers drinking beer and watching the show.

I went once 15 years ago and quickly learned my lesson but I guess you gotta find out for yourself.

Well, You can expect and experience that will have you thinking to yourself, "WTF is all the hoopla about???? A bunch of recently freed lovers of same sex play, or people you never wanted to see naked... " The best time to go was about 35 yrs ago.

I'm surprised at the negativity. You see all types there. Yes, there is a gay section way down at the end. If you stay by the first rest stop, no problem. You will see, on a Saturday, mostly couples, certainly many not eye-candy but the average person in Austin is not eye-candy. Many attractive women. H-H is not a pick-up bar. People are very friendly though.

My advice is to try it for yourself. The worst scenario is that you get to sun your buns and relax in the water.

The best way to see it is in a boat. Otherwise, that place is totally over rated. And watch out for the lurkers -they are just creepy.

jesus fucking christ do u guys judge much here?? go by all means. there are all types of bodies, all sizes, sexual identities and races. it is still fun and if u go and do not want to see gay guys, stay by the second bathroom where the swingers and couples hang out. FYI you do not need to be young or skinny or hot to want to sit naked in the sun. my advice is if you're looking to score, meet horny chicks or be impressed by taut toned bodies, go to the gym. if u want to have fun and meet some nice folks and lounge around naked in the sun outdoors go to hippie. do not listen to these nay sayers, there is always all kinds of diverse friendly naked people hanging out there, however, I implore you, if you're a judgemental body shamer hater type please just stay away like these other small minded shamer types. but if u think u would enjoy lounging outside in public with some normal looking folks come on down and hang out. it is super fun. this is tolerant, progressive Austin and we embrace all kinds of people and body shapes, try to be a little more tolerant folks,. women do not exist to be pleasing to your eye.

I'm surprised at you Sue! You've been around these parts to know what a shit hole HH has turned into.. Maybe you haven't been in a while, but HH hasn't been worth going to in at least 8-10 yrs. Other than obnoxious Frats, hoping to see some covergirl titties, and gays, looking to hook up, the only people that go there are tourists , hoping the reputation of the place is right... of course they leave disappointed.. As for being naked , outside, pffft... do that on any boat, just about anywhere on Lake Travis, or any local lake. The Flotilla parties are good, but even THEY don't go to HH.
This is NOT the old Austin anymore, one of the last two swinger clubs just closed, (there used to be 6 in town), and "TOLERANT"? LOLOL AUSTIN??? What a joke..

Don't you get it? She is just being defensive because she is among those described who actually hangs out there. I remember her posting as much some while back.

Sue nobody said they weren't very nice people on the old hippie side. Old hippies are extremely cool.

If the OP just wanted to meet physically unappealing nice people he doesn't need to go see them naked while getting gawked at by bush lurkers and gays. He can go anywhere in Austin. It's full of wonderful people of all types.

This is coed and all things hobby related which means when a monger inquires about a nude beach he generally is referring to an enjoyable viewing experience at the very least.

Screw it, go once and scratch it off your bucket list. I have lived within 10 minutes of it for 20 years and been 3 times. All 3 times were with tourist family or friends after going the Oasis. I've never taken my clothes off there. Most people are correct that you will be disappointed. However it's a reliable giggle taking your 50 year old little sister in acting like it's a normal joint and watch her face.
