Gun smith?

No,not the pink one,The purple one. It was actually a gift,I train constantly and really enjoy shooting. I don't go to the range often but have property large enough to practice on. I am lethal with my .22 pistol, but with this .9 the heavy trigger pull seems to throw off my aim,as when I pull it I'm expecting it to fire( like my .22) instead I have to make a heavier pull,does that make sense? I did Reaserch SCCY and understand that this is a less expensive handgun really just made to keep in ypur glove box,but I refuse to carry anything I'm not 100% comfortable and accurate with.
I also have a 1911 .45 that although is extremely heavy in my and I can still fire it with confidence. I appreciate all the opinions, I'm going to,contact SCCY and see if the offer a lighter trigger pull for my model. Until then I'm off to purchase a brick to put through her, if anyone would like to meet up at a range one day let me know I'm good company!

Ruger LCP striker fire 9MM would be a great choice. One of the best trigger out there on a confort conceal 9MM.

The 1911 has a single action trigger that is crisp and precise..it doesn't have much travel to it before it drops the hammer.

The SCCY has a double action trigger. Many double action trigger guns have long pulls and are anything but precise thus making them harder to shoot accurately.

The 1911 in .45 has inherently less muzzle flip.

You may be able to improve accuracy with another stance and grip technique.

Both of what these guys say is very true.
I've been shooting the 1911 for many years and yes I like a light but crisp trigger and yes stance and grip is everything with this weapon. The only drawback for me is I prefer a full size 1911 and they are cumbersome to carry. My preference for carry is the newer Wilson Combat Berretta 9mm. great gun

Young lady shoot what you like. Just get very familiar with the weapon. And remember target shooting is one thing and pulling a weapon to use for defense is another. Practice practice practice

Meh, the reviews don't like it for reducing anything other that over travel, but did find this comment

"The factory will do the trigger spring mod for you if you take it in for something else. It helps."

Sounds like a call to the factory might help.

I don't recommend any woman rely on heavy-spring single action only / hammer gun.

....not even the single action hammer 380s.

I don't recommend it for most of the Tards either.

Maybe at the match,....but not for defense.
