I have back pain due to kidney problems, there's yoga videos on YouTube that I swear by . They even cater to your problem area . U don't have to be a pro at it , I use one its by a girl named adriene. Every day there's different videos look for her one geared towards lower back pain. I do it every day it helps so much with not just body pain but mind ,body and soul. It really helps way better than any pill. That and I live on a heating pad when I rest. Hope this helps doll. Namaste. .

I hope you feel better doll. Heels deff could be a part. Icy hot patches worked wonders when I fell on Icy stairs this winter. Best of luck .

Default response on lower back query

Speaking as a scientist with a fair amount of connective tissue background I like Mopar and East Amherst's comments best. Be careful of prolonged ibuprofen usage. Google something like ' long term ibuprofen problems' and see for yourself.

Personally, I like the full cylinder lumbar rolls and the strap that is intended for use on a chair can also be placed around your waist to help hold the thing in place while sleeping. Use the roll night and day for a few days. You can buy online or at your local hospital's store. Good luck

Ibuprofen in doses under 600 mg only works as a pain killer. Doses greater than 600 mg result in anti inflammatory effect.

Instead of hot wraps try icing.

The comment that it only helps with muscle pain is incorrect. It is very effective on most of the common causes for things like back pain. But if taking it for more than a few days, you should be taking it with a Dr.'s advice. And make DAMN sure that you take it with food to help avoid stomach upset (or worse). This goes for all of you cucks and hooks. GI bleeding is a frequent problem with frequent/heavy use of all NSAID's, and it can even kill in severe circumstances. They are true "wonder drugs" when used properly, and I don't want to scare you off of them. But ya' need to be careful.

Medicate patches(menthol) can take the edge off the discomfort. I find they work better than ibuprofen or tylenol.

Hi, I have dealt with chronic pain for a long time. It got especially bad in my mid teens. I second what people are saying about seeing a professional. I would go to your regular doctor and get a referral to a pain specialist. You can always message me in private if you want. I am in the process of working with a new pain specialist myself. Since I have scoliosis, he wrote me a referral to physical therapy. Don't go to a chiropractor or get acupuncture. Total waste of money and time...at least in my humble opinion. A good over the counter pain med is naproxen. I also love hot baths with epsom salt.
