Social Media Availability Updates...yes or no?

This weeks thought is about communication.

Guys have asked for years if I can text them when I come to their area. 2 things, I feel like I am begging them to see me by putting them on the spot and I srarted years ago where contacting you directly was more dangerous. I do not want to ding in at a bad time.

Again being old school I have a yahoo group. I only use it for the mailouts. If you wanted my updates it was the simplest way to get them. I use past tense as I am considering other options.

On the cookie cutter sites that offer email list, because the provider does not own the content your info becomes part of the site. If she deletes or you unjoin p, because you registered, the traces are there. I build my own site now offering me more control and you more discretion.

I also have a Twitter name and it seems some enjoy that.

I recently set up a KiK name and that seems to be ok as a text share photo option. (I use a google number with an app so I can not send photos)

Heck, I even saw a provider with a facebook page. Not sure how I feel about that. Loved the simplicity but not sure how to make it private enough. Would you guys even feel safe looking at it?

The other obvious option for total discretion is to remove mainstream social media and stick to just being active on the boards.

I am really pondering this so...

A lot depends on your need for discretion. I had a hobby FB page once. Even though I kept the electronics separate, FB still started crossing over between hobby and civilian worlds, so I quickly shut that down. Won't go back to that.

I do have a twitter account; that is a good way to flirt and keep up with traveling ladies. And, newsletters are good, especially for traveling ladies or specials, which are always nice. Everyone loves a sale.

Finally, I do love to hear from ladies that will be visiting my area - so sweetheart do let me know anytime you will be close to me ...

I have a facebook page and it works well for me... I am private on there and can screen the ones that send a friend request. I love it.... they can keep up with my availability, specials and when I travel.

So, does this cross over to your civilian FB page? Or do you only have the hobby FB page?
