Arrow Google Voice..........

Is it just me or is there something going on with Google Voice? Out of nowhere its not working. I have it on my phone. As I tried to make an outgoing call my phone starts dialing the number immediately instead of the box popping up giving me a choice of: Call using Google Voice or Call without using Google Voice.

Now when I dial a number the box would pop up sometimes and I would click my choice and it would say call not sent. but my phone starts dialing and of course my "REAL LIFE NUMBER" will appear on the caller ID.

As for incoming calls and text messages, that still works. So if you call my google voice number (hobby #) I will still get incoming calls and text messages. I can send text messages as well by the way.

Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance.

From time to time you have to delete and download it again.

I recommend NOT using Google Voice, but rather getting a separate "stupid" pre-paid hobby phone you pay with cash and refill with cash. It may be a pain in the arse to have two phones, but the more separation between real life and the hobby, the better. Glitches occur, plus Google has a habit of collecting everything. Paranoid? Probably, but better safe than sorry.
Good luck!

I'd have to agree with plainjoe. That's what I'm planning to do. As a plus, when you buy the phone don't buy it at a super big retail shop as their more likely to keep the information on the phone purchase / video of the sale longer than a mom and pop / smaller location.

I think I'm gonna go get a throw away phone. My google voice app still works. I get my text messages on it. I can text with it. I get incoming calls but I can't dial out unless I get on my laptop or desktop and dial the number and it will ring to my phone. Throw away phone is too much of a hassle but that will probably be a better option. Oh the box still pops up asking if I wanna call using Google voice or don't use it to dial, but when I push my choice it still says call not sent and my phone will dial the number using my real world phone number. I'm probably gonna have to do a factory reset on my phone or just get a new phone altogether. Grrrrrr.......

You can easily get phones from Fiesta and also prepaid services. Houston has Fiesta for sure, but not sure of what other city's/states have them.
