What Is Ones Time Worth?
I thought this was interesting after viewing some of the outlandish hourly rates being asked.... Average Salaries. After completing medical school and the required on-the-job training, in 2010 the average doctor earned $80 per hour, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. This hourly rate translates into an annual salary of $166,400.

I'm not sure how accurate this is but I have heard that the average escort rate for any general area is usually similar to the average lawyer rate per hour. Now keep in mind that for both escort and lawyer, for every hour spent with the client there are usually at least a few hours spent in preperation/marketing, etc.

A provider's worth is whatever she determines. Regardless of folks who may think X amount per hour is too high, or even too low, if that's her rate, it's because it is working for her. If or when it no longer works for her she will likely lower or raise it.

It is my understanding that doctors have a much lower net income mainly because of
1. Student loans
2a. Insurance rates if they open their own practice
2b. The cost of insurance if they join a medical group.
3. Many doctors who marry other doctors and do not have children also oftentimes must live in different cities in order to have a fairly decent position - which means maintaining 2 homes.
As far as the lawyer reference by BBG- there are definitely similarities. Research, advertising and promotional time for the escort is a tremendous part of the job.
I believe each person, regardless of their profession determines what is acceptable according to lifestyle, basic needs, and future goals.

Being that I'm not a doctor, lawyer or provider, my time is worthless. Maybe I'll just stay here on the shitter all day, play with myself, and see if anyone notices.

You hit it on the nail!
When I did similar cost analysis in the 90's it was hardly worth it to go through with med school.
1. I don't have rich parents, so need school was going to have to be financed by me. Cheapest was downstate medical school in Brooklyn at $250,000 For the program. One I was actually accepted was over $500,000.
2. Residency was not capped at 80 hours per week, yet. Residents made about $50,000/year back then. Residency for what i wanted to do was 3 years.
3. Liability insurance, should i decide to work for my self would have been $125,000/year.
You really have to love what you do to make that kind of investment that may only pay off when you are in your 50's.

So it's not what she thinks it is, it's what the market will bear.
The demand for hookers in upstate New York is elastic. A rise in rates will good and damn well result in a lowering of demand.
I have several attorneys in my family. They generally work 70 or so hours a week. The money they make dwarfs the money that a hook makes, evaluated any way one chooses to evaluate it. These are 40 - 55 year old people with extensive formal education.
I would imagine hooking is a great hourly-wage job for an unskilled, uneducated individual. Probably right up there with construction or driving a truck for a US government contractor in an Islamic country.

When I used to work exclusively in NYC a friend of mine, who worked in the same field that I do, got his failure younger brother this cherry part-time gig sitting in the penalty box at New York Ranger games. He would sit there, document what time of game a player got a penalty, and what time he got out of the box. Retard work.
They paid the kid $150 a game for this shit. Plus, he obviously had a superb view of the game.
Worked out to like $50 or so dollars an hour. This was about 15 years ago.
I always believed that was an excellent hourly rate of pay for a moron.

When I traveled a lot to Texas I had to pay at least 1200 to fly out and stay. Meaning 3 to 4 appointments to cover the fly out and stay.....not to mention the cost of condoms, food etc......many don't realize how much the cost of business is. To make money you have to spend money. Most business owners and wealthy people understand. Those who are greedy and needy don't get it.
