My time is ESSENTIAL to me as well!!
if you are serious about providing, then i suggest [if you havent done so already] you have a really good screening process to lower the probability of flakes, no shows, etc.
if you are offering a review discount before they write a review, then i suggest [if you havent done so already] you give the discount on a return session.
"What's the hardship in purchasing a GIFT CARD" - depends on who's talking. as several have said, anything that makes the scheduling more difficult or TIME CONSUMING can be a hardship to some prospective clients.
if flakes, no shows, etc. are the problem, look at the cause before coming up w/ a potentially incorrect solution.
with that said, requiring a deposit for a multi-hour appt, for an overnight appt, for an appt where you must travel is reasonable. requiring a deposit for a 1 hr appt might not be reasonable.

Over the years, I've tried the deposit thing and it's never worked out for me but good luck with that. I feel that it's a great thing but like others have mentioned, it's probably not going to garner you a lot of business, with that practice.
I DO have one friend who is a super high end sex worker. And she requires half her fee upfront. But she's not even in my stratosphere. Well, maybe in my stratosphere but you know what I mean.
For her, 2 or 3 appointments a month are all that she does. And she does a lot of repeat work.
Anyway, being disappointed, stood up (I got cancelled on at 6:30 AM, this morning, for a 7 AM appointment. Got up at 5 AM to get ready. Drove to my incall. Dammit. Still a bit pissed about that). But getting ncns'd, dealing with people who of "off," well that's part of doing business.
I find that a lot of ladies will post "alerts" and for me, and this is my opinion only, really aren't alerts at all. It's an annoyance. Huge difference.
This business is filled with annoyances. Some of the members here are annoyances. I annoy many.
So while you have your youth, your beauty, and your vitality (getting older means a LOT less energy for some) ... learn all that you can. Go to school, if possible. And make this work for you. Save.
Lecture over. I just don't see how a middle level escort can make getting deposits work in this market. But if you can start a new trend, I'm ALL for it.
Best,
Elisabeth

i get what you are saying wrt comparisons. maybe "in different leagues" would work better.
from farthest out to closest ...
the stratosphere is the 2nd closer layer to the surface of the earth.
exo-, then iono-, then meso-, then strato-, then tropo-shere.
sorry for the atmospheric aside....

I think I am going to require a deposit from ladies before scheduling with them. Because I have had ladies not show up for, or go silent before, appointments, I now require a deposit of one BJ before I will agree to an appointment. But don't worry - the BJ will be credited toward the length of the appointment. I mean, how hard is it to give a BJ?
I hate that I have to do this, but my time is too valuable to waste on appointments that don't happen.

After I wrote it, thought that another "term" might work better. Thanks. Although I find that my friend, and myself, are in the same league in some ways ... our financial requirements are worlds apart (I just rolled my eyes when I wrote that!!!
Hugs ...

Just do 50 of them. Swallow.
Then, you'll have a better understanding of why some of us feel that although deposits won't work with the current business model, that what we do is very much a valid activity that requires a certain skill set, and also a bit more respect than many of us get.
And deserves, as a wonderful source of entertainment for so many, some assurances that you'll show up after we've spent our personal time, money and efforts to get ready for you.
Not that every one of us has that skill set. But many, if not most, do.
Know you were being somewhat sardonic. Still. Had to respond to what you wrote.

To text after setting up a appointment or how about this one just completely
Ignore your Pm after you are asking them what happen. I have seen it all
So this is most definitely not just a provider issue guys get ghost all the time.
I can careless the reason there is to many women for me to give my money too
But just be professional and respond to the guys when you don't follow through
With an appoinment it's not that hard. Hell good or bad any reason is Better than
No reason

For those who DONT KNOW I started my Provider experience at a PRIVATE SPA in Oklahoma 3 years ago. Now i'm independent people act as if they can't act proffessional. You don't like it you don't have to book. And its a PERSONAL PROBLEM in my opinion

Yes it does suck EW and I am sorry to here that a guy did this to you
This morning. This really sucks to the top providers like yourself that
Takes great care of them selves in the hygein department because most
Of you will get up early like you did and soak in the tube and get all clean
And smelling good for us. This has to be very frustrating to do all that and
Then get call or text but unfortunately like you said it's just what will happen
In the business from time to time.

Trust me the chance of you ever seeing that money is a negative 0 and the likely

Actually, the moment I see any of the above, I don't finish reading the ad or review.
Had this discussion on another board in another city. There zero mongers willing to pay up front.

I've already had people PRE BOOK but thanks for your info hunny bun

No personal info involved, and only the loaded amount is accessible. Also the deposit goes TOWARDS your session?! If your serious it shouldn't be any hassle. If trusting the provider with a security deposit is an issue all I can say is TRY & SEE . If they are deceptive about the arrangements after you've booked, acknowledge that in the/a review . If you were satisfied and see its professional and prompt REVIEW THAT!!

It's definitely your business and you can run it in any manner you see fit. Since you posted this out in co-ed discussions I figured you were looking for feedback. If it's just a notification you could just do that in your next ad.
So from my perspective as a hobbyist who has been on this board practically from inception, that has been in the hobby for 15 years, who has 40+ reviews, who has P411 with 20+ oks, I would never in a million years pre-pay or even pay a deposit for session. In 15 years I've never cancelled a session...not once. For me it's just an added layer of complexity and risk that I'm never going to deal with.
So I don't know if you're thinking of making your deposit policy in effect for everyone or maybe newer clients with only a certain amount of reviews, references, or OKs.
Anyway it's your business to do with as you like...just giving you my opinion.

I have never doubted the value of what you ladies do. That's why I spend so much money supporting the arts and have great respect for the skills and professionalism of those who do it.
I just think there are risks on both sides. Men take time to get ready, drive (sometimes quite far) to incall locations, wait sometimes for an hour, and may or may not get to see the provider. As I said, risks on both sides. To require payment up front for which the man has no recourse whatsoever suggests that only the ladies stand to lose in this business.
As far as the business value of deposits, I tried it once with my business. I teach classes that are open to the public. After having several no-shows, I began requiring deposits for a period of time. I later stopped requiring deposits. I observed that I had fewer no-shows when I required a deposit, but I also had fewer customers. I know it is a different business model, but the aversion to deposits is nonetheless common.

^^^^^One of the most pertinent things said thus far on this topic.
Some providers don't require deposits, but rather offer a deposit incentive, which I do as well. And I do agree that cancellations aren't alert worthy. (I'd never post a cancellation or no-call/no-show as an alert.) But I do certainly think last minute cancellations and no-call/no-shows are a little more than irksome and that they are info share worthy, as it is the case that some hobbyist have a habit of wasting providers' time. I'm also taking into consideration my experiences of this while on tour. The stakes for me are different when I'm visiting a city and needing to factor in travel expenses.
