I have no problem being nice anytime of the year, but during this season its even easier. For the people that "don't deserve it" I think..."I wonder what has been done to them to make them so bitter & angry"? So it makes it doubly easier to take pity on them & pass on a kind word, compliment or smile.

Earlier I was at the grocery store picking up some things for a ToyzTastic meal I'm planning tomorrow night...Angel Hair Pasta with Pan Fried Scallops in a butter/garlic sauce...and I needed to cross the parking lot...a car stopped to let me cross over with my basket full-o-shit...and I waved and smiled...the guy pulls up...rolls down his window...and says "I hope you have a great holiday season"! I walked to the car saw he had his wife (or a hoogar, who knows) & his two young daughters with him...I laughed, smiled and said "I hope you & your beautiful family have a fantastic Christmas"...they all smiled & he said "Its great to be Americans"..

This is a true story...happened just a few minutes ago...but I think it shows that people are just in better spirits this time of year.

Ya'll say whatever you want about the fundraiser and the tax assumptions. I don't care about the rumors. I gave to give, because I wanted to. And I got to see the kids and families. Every year, I would give away between a few hours and overnights. I have been poor before as a kid & lost everything once in a fire. If a family hadn't of helped us we would not have anything.

So yes- I like to give away more on Christmas as my yearly do gooder stuff. This year I'm tge fucking charity case. Lol. But I'll be alright and I'll still donate what I can to Safe Place. I just won't be able to help as many people as the previous years.
