Default An End Of An Era

As the end of 2015 draws near, so will my time in Australia. It has been a long exhausting year flying back and forth form one continent to the next.

By the end of March 2016, my family and I will have sold our ranch in Australia, only to find ourselves back in the states. Not leaving the cattle business, we will find ourselves in South Texas doing what we know best.

A new ranch to look forward to and perhaps a high game fence where exotic hunts can be made.

Needless to say, the Aussie will be a full time resident of Texas and still traveling to Louisiana on a regular basis in the near future.

There is a fair amount of ranching in South Louisiana with lush marshes providing winter forage and roundup in spring for vaccinations, sending off to fat stock yards and pasture on dry ground (fallow rice fields) away from hurricanes. No game fences but great waterfowl hunting.

FWIW the two largest cattle producing counties in the nation at one time were Cameron and Vermillion parishes.

Here's to a successful new chapter in your life. Congrats.

Find some excuses to take some 'business' trips to Dallas. That seems to be the hobby capital of the USofA.
