Default Drinking Mexican Cerveza

My favorite Mexican Cerveza is Tecate. I have been drinking Tecate for 35+ years with lime & salt.

Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma Brewery/Heineken Mexico founded in 1890 makes Tecate, Tecate Light, Dos Equis, Indio, Carta Blanca, Sol, Bohemia, Moctezuma, Noche Buena, Sito de Kaiser, Casta, Superior Cervezas.

Grupo Modelo/Anheuser Busch In Bev founded in 1925 makes Modelo Especial, Modelo Light, Negra Modelo, Corona, Pacifico, Victoria, Estrella, Leon Cervezas.

Mexican Cervezas that I like & have drank-Tecate, Dos Equis, Indio, Modelo Especial, Negra Modelo, Sol. I have drank Corona but don't like/care for the taste of Corona Cerveza.

I have gone to see live music in the past at two Mexican Clubs in Corpus Christi. In 2012, I went to Club Cielo & saw Grupo Solido & Intocable on two different nights. There were lots of Cholos at Club Cielo-Real Cholos & Wannabe Cholos. I went to see Roberto Pulido at Club Pure/Rio in 2014, it is located on the South Side on Staples Street. There were no Cholos at Club Pure/Rio. Neither Club carried/sold Tecate & they used lemons instead of limes for a full dressed cerveza-lemons to me are no bueno por caca.

Back in 2007, I met & partook of the services multiple times of a chica named Amanda working at Casino El Papagayo/Nuevo Laredo Boystown. Amanda introduced me to Indio Cerveza. I really like the taste of Indio, I call it the Mexican Shiner Bock. Back in 2007, Indio was not sold in the USA. HEB started selling Indio several years ago. Amanda grew up in Guadalajara & lived in Monterrey when she was working at Papagayo's. Amanda was a very cool chica whom spoke excellent english, she was into Music Big Time like myself & we liked a lot of the same Music. I found it kind of strange/weird that Amanda did not like Mana-the Mexican Rock Band from Guadalajara especially since she grew up in Guadalajara. Amanda absolutely hated the Music of Luis Miguel. Amanda is the only chica I had ever met in Mexico that did not like the Muy Romantico Music of Luis Miguel.

Another good Mexican beer that is staring to show up is Montejo. Originally made by a brewery in Merida, Yucatan but now a member of the Modelo/Budweiser cartel.

I never drank Mexican beer until I started enjoying Micheladas. I'm gonna give Tecate a try today!

I think Tecate is the Old Milwaukee of Mexican beer that's just my opinion. The Corona that they sell in Mexico in the caguama dark bottles is a very good beer, much different than what they ship to the US in the clear bottles. Having spent 10 years down there I have tried them all, put Pacifico at the top and Montejo right there with it. Indio is like Superior, if it's really cold it is good but only if so.

Hey Captain, I purchased a 6 pack of Montejo & a 6 pack of Negra Modelo at HEB on Robert & Alameda. I am drinking my first Montejo beer watching College Football-Texas A&M playing Vanderbilt. The Aggies are winning 6-0-Gig'em Aggies-Beat The Hell Out Of Vanderbilt!!!. I like Montejo, it is a good tasting beer. Them HEB Bastards were out of stock of Indio. How is the weather in Florida? What is your work schedule-7 days on /7 days off, 14 days on/ 14 days off, 30 days on/30 days off?

Ay chihuahua, I think Tecate is the Lone Star Beer of Mexico, a step above Old Milwaukee-Lol. I always put my beer in the freezer after I purchase it & get it extremely cold before I partake of/drink it. HEB has the worst coolers in the world for beer in my opinion-some HEB stores have open air coolers & some have enclosed coolers. HEB does not set the temperature low enough on their coolers to keep their beer cold. Walmart's open air coolers for their beer are set colder than HEB, they have metal thermometers hanging showing you the temperature of the coolers. When I purchase beer from Walmart, it also goes into the freezer to get it extremely cold to suit my tastes for drinking beer. There is nothing worse than drinking a non cold beer in my humble opinion.

I have drank 3 Montejo beers & like Montejo very much. I just started drinking my first Negra Modelo, I like the taste of Negra Modelo also. Texas A&M is Beating The Hell Out Of Vanderbilt 25-0 with 8:47 minutes left in the game. Gig'em Aggies!!!

My favorite Mexican beer is Miller Lite. ( Pronounced Meeller Lite in Spanish).
No salt or lime is required.

I just took 2 1/2 months off, rode one of my Harleys all over the country and spent a lot of time sitting on my ass and sleeping in. Probably gonna work until I pay for my past trip, put the money back in the bank that I spent while I was off, gather the down payment for the Road Glide I am trading the Road King for and maybe cap the savings off with an even number. Basically until the cows come home.

Captain1962, I picked up a 6 pack of Montejo Beer at Walmart on Staples for the Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers Football Game. Walmart is considerably cheaper on their price for Montejo Beer-$7.28 a 6 pack. HEB was $1.51 higher on their Montejo Beer 6 pack-$8.79. Walmart also had 12 Packs of Montejo Beer for right under $13, I dont remember if was $12.88 or $12.98-I got Frickin' Old Timers Disease-can't remember shit-Lol.

I told my Sister that the Captain had turned me on to Montejo Mexican Beer, that I liked the the taste of Montejo Beer. My Sister responded with no wonder y'all like that Ho Beer, y'all like chasing them Hoes down in Mexico. Her response made me laugh because it's true.

I went to Walmart & bought a 12 pack of Montejo Can Beer for $12.28-$6.14 a 6 pack. The $7.28 6 pack Montejo Beer at Walmart is Bottle Beer. Drinking some Montejo Beer with lime & Kosher salt. Kosher salt which I call snooty salt tastes much better to my taste buds than using lime & regular salt in Mexican Beer. Watching the Texas A&M Aggies vs LSU Tigers Football Game on the SEC Network.
