Another loss to a team of players that Texas didn't even offer scholarships to. 58 Texan's on the OK State roster. Filled with 2 and 3 star recruits. It was fun to watch Swoops come in and get 3rd and short, running it for a 1st down. He even got 4th and 2 for a touchdown. Good for him. Soft coverage on their receivers all day. We came up with a few good plays but basically let them have their way with us. Tough loss!

Wow, two weeks in a row to lose like that.

The Horns will only be favored twice the rest of the way. It would be an upset for them to go 4 and 8 this year ... 3 and 9 looking more likely after coughing up two winnable games.

I like Charlie Strong but I can't say it bothers me much to see the entitled Orangebloods suffering so much.

Big XII: enjoy it while it lasts. Texas can't stay this far down for long.

I've told my friends from the beginning of the year that Texas will run the table after OU and win their bowl game.

The Big 12 is weak this year. I like Texas chance against any team in the Big 12. TCU has no business being ranked in the top 5 and every team except OU vs Tennessee and TTU vs Arkansas has played nothing but a bunch of scrub teams.

The race to win the Big 12 is wide open and I doubt a Big 12 team will make the playoffs.

Especially if nobody goes unbeaten. Even then it's gonna take some help. A one loss SEC champ, or one loss Ohio St. or Michigan St. probably gets in ahead of the Big 12 champ.

Total meltdown today. Reminded me of the ND game. Came close to the worst shutout since 1908. Players tweeting at half time. WTF?

Short answer - This team is very very young. It is crazy how many true or red shirt freshman are playing right now. They are going to get knocked around a lot this year, BUT people need to be patient. Yeah, I know that is a foreign idea for UT.

It is almost like a full JV team is playing against a varsity team right now. Don't get me wrong. There is a LOT that Strong needs to fix. He came in with the cupboard bare. He has to continue to clean house, because when you have a player tweeting at half time b/c you are upset you aren't getting any burn, your ass either needs to work harder, or your ass needs to go.

The new AD knows that Strong (and pretty much every single head coach in the athletic program) didn't have the support they needed. Now that the AD situation has changed, I think that they are resetting the clock.

With all that said, they can't just can't give up like that. Mistakes are one thing but giving up is another, and they gave up in this game.

Strong came in with several recruiting classes that were ranked in the top ten. So either those rankings were crap, it String is a terrible coach. I'm leaning to it's a little of both.

It's all about discipline with Strong and not about the game. Hell, I wouldn't want to playfor him either. And he ddidn't come to Texas with a bare cupboard. He's not attracting talent for UT and that's the bottom line.

I'm curious, have you even watched a Longhorns football game this year. The Freshman that Charlie Strong recruited are the best players on the team. They are young and making a bunch of mistakes but that is what you expect from True Freshman.

He had some good Senior players last year but I can't name one Senior on his roster this year who I can see getting drafted in the first 4 rounds if drafted at all. The Juniors are not much better.

Everybody needs to stop making excuses for Strong. This is his second year with a losing record at a school that has more money in their athletic department than any other school in the nation. They have a he worst record since 1956.
