Default Strong majority of Americans oppose defunding Planned Parenthood

Yes, once again, our resident right wing whackjobs have their fingers on the pulse of America.....

Default Death wish?

Yet, once again a small group of political grandstanders will continually threaten to shut the government down almost on cue, no matter the extent to which they discredit their own party.

Some people never learn.

I believe they are elected representatives that are doing what those that elected them have asked.
The process was not created by those that are using it as it was intended, to slow down government processes in the best interest of the represented. Unlike the pass it to find out what is in it crowd, these elected representatives are exposing what is in it and allowing people to contact their representatives so they can express their thoughts. Some elected representatives will actually do what they promised in order to get elected and I am sure that is very disappointing to the go along to get along crowd. The elected representative's duty is not to the majority of the American people but to those that put them in office, their constituents.
Maybe if we shut the government down when it ran out of money rather than to continually raise the debt limit, we could finally begin to eliminate the wasteful spending and only the government that is actually needed would survive. It is painfully evident we cannot afford the current government and most certainly cannot afford to continue to borrow from our children to support the government's largess. If those people are so for Planned Parenthood, they should privately fund it rather than rely on stealing the money from those that do not want it.

Does anybody have the figures on how much money the government gives to the NRA so they can continue to fight for our Constitutional rights, you know like Planned Parenthood fights for the rights of women?

In congressional testimony Cecile Richards admits....

There was just a great moment at the House hearing gong on right now where Cecile Richards was forced to admit under questioning from Rep. Cynthia Lummins (R, WY) that although abortions only account for 3% of Planned Parenthood’s total procedures, abortions account for 86% of Planned Parenthood’s revenues: Abortions 86% of revenue, 3% of services. Lummins asks @CecileRichards to explain this disparity. — Amy Curtis (@moderncomments) September 29, 2015 Lummis: Abortions…would have been over 86% of non govt revenue…how do you explain this massive disparity —

Why is that a great moment?

Maybe because PP is funded by federal grants, and private donations, only revenue comes from fetal donations with a small recovery amount paid.

The problem is that it is a dysfunctional approach to governing. Are you really incapable of recognizing that fact? Setting aside the fact that the House Democrats will never go along with defunding PP and that President Obama will veto any spending legislation that includes such a provision (to a 100% degree of certainty), tell me what the fucking point is? You are never going to get what you want, at least not this way.

You can bitch and moan all you like but we need the government up and running in order to have a functioning country. Do you not get that? And, the fight is about Planned Parenthood? You're going to argue that shutting down the government of the United States of America, the most powerful country on the face of the planet and in the history of the world... over freaking Planned Parenthood..... is a good idea?

The abortion thing has finally made all of you completely batshit fucking crazy.

And, by the way, the elected representatives higher duty is to act in the best interest of the country when it comes to basic things like ensuring that the government is a functioning entity.

Our government does all kinds of shit I disagree with and that I don't want my tax dollars spent on. The solution to that is not to work towards the intentional cessation of government activities. The solution is to work within the legitimate confines of the system to effect change via legislation. Legislation that is designed to benefit the governed, not to shut down the government because you and the rest of the right wing whackadoos take issue with Roe v. Wade.

Wow! What is a "strong" majority? Our feckless hero in the Oval Office has proven that you don't need a strong anything. You just need one more vote than the other guy. So fuck your strong majority.

This poll says nothing about the fact that the MSM has been sitting on this story or if they report it then it becomes a fake story about doctored videos. Your poll would only be valid if they asked the respondents if they've saw the videos.

So your entire post is just so much bullshit based on a false narrative.

No, the real question is "has PP broken the law?" Obviously they have and so the next question is "why hasn't anyone been arrested?".

QFTFT. And this is why Boehner got the ax. At the end of the day, he was a dealmaker and understood that getting something was better than nothing. This new crowd doesn't get that. They will never get PP defunded under this administration and yet they're willing to shut the fucking govt down over it. Incredibly stupid. There are ways they could accomplish more of what they want, but they're too goddamn stupid to realize it and lack the creative mind to figure it out.

They have not broken the law. You have no proof of it. That's why no one has been arrested, Admiral Turd Cutter. The videos have been categorically shown to be doctored and are not sufficient evidence of anything, let alone criminal activity.

Keep looking for that 777, dipshit.

So if they have broken the law here in Texas , why haven't they been prosecuted, in the reddest of red states? Maybe they haven't broken the law and they (the GOP) is using this as a fund raising tool.

I'm confident we all have heard an on-the-street interview with a typical dimocrat voter and thought how illogical, brain-dead,ignorant and obstinate in the face of all evidence and conscious consideration this person is and have said to ourselves, and this idiot cancels out my vote?

Now how are we supposed to feel about some poll where these same idiotic, self caring, unthinking, unphilosophical in the least regard, short sighted, empty headed, and with brains only in their stomach, are allowed to voice an "opinion".
Of course, it's worthless and even less so for it gives support to depravity.
