Look up Writ of Mandamus and report back to class. For extra credit, pronounce mandamus correctly.

Spot on! She is entitled to her beliefs., but if this was a matter of principle she would resign. But no, this is a Thumper version of Rev Al. "Look at me! I am a martyr because I took an oath I never intended to uphold!" It would not surprise me if she was already working on book deals, TV appearances, etc. I have it, she can be Palin's VP candidate! THAT combination would cause me to vote for Clinton. (OK, not that, but maybe I would join COG and vote for Gary J).
I am NOT condemning her religious beliefs, I am condemning her grandstanding and her complete disregard for an oath she took. It is almost laughable that the RWWs on here do not see the incredible similarity between her actions and the Jackson/Sharpton charlatanry. If anything, Sharpton at least wasn't getting a gov't paycheck while pontificating his vomit. It is pretty bad when you fall below Rev Al on the sleaze scale. Pretty bad indeed.

The difference is she is being paid a salary and her zealotry is causing her to not fulfill her obligations--thus depriving people of their legal rights. I would think even a RWW could understand that. Maybe I overestimated the logical capacity of some RWWs.

And of course, they are encouraged by a President who doesn't have a clue as to the type of animals he is dealing with. President Obama doesn't have a clue that when he utters even the smallest word of encouragement for the "cause", his "sons" out on the street take it as, "Obama got my back".
Naiveté and Stupidity. A combination that President Obama and most of his boot lickers have mastered to perfection.

Agreed. She needs to be imprisoned right along with the shitheels who convinced her this would be a good idea, and hatemongers like JL's good buddy and beneficiary, Texas AG Paxton.
Good thing she didn't have a gun...

Rule of law....that's a funny one. What does it take to ratify a treaty according to the Constitution? 2/3 of the senate and the signature of the president. What are we getting instead, a 1/3 of the senate and the president. What happened to the rule of law? You want to pick and choose but I thought the Constitution was to protect the opinions of the minority as stated by NBK last week. The left is all over the place on this. You talk about the rule of law while your icons flout the law on a regular basis. You wrap yourselves in the Constitution when it suits you and shit on it when it doesn't.
The conservative point of view is that she has a right to her religious beliefs...even if it means she goes to jail. It is up to the state how far it is willing to go to oppress someones beliefs. Don't think we haven't forgot how many lefties have stated that they think people who don't believe in their version of global warming should be punished with violence, firing, or imprisonment. The left is rotten to the core.

This is a publicity stunt on the left. All of those gay couples who traveled to Hawaii to get married but these couples can't even find the state or county line. This is just the gay mafia wanting to force someone to bow to them.

Yeah, that's not what is going to happen procedurally. A writ of mandamus is something a litigant directs to an appellate court seeking a remedy in relation to a trial court order.

A lying liberal swishy walking EUNUCH that is STILL hiding in the closet over his fag ways and purports to be a "freelance writer for travel brochures" on one day, an " independently wealthy app inventor that has problems scheduling time with his backpage cetacean "hotties" on another day, and undercunt in resurrected with a new handle. Oh ! And an idiot proponent of "social democracy " that loves to get his well fudge packed ass handed to him on all subjects he comments on, especialy threads related to the economy, finances or his heroes odummer and Shrillary. That pretty much sums YOU up woomby !

Rule of law prevails. Deputy clerks in Kentucky case are issuing marriage licenses.

I hope the clerk in jail enjoys her baloney sandwich at lunch today.
