I got rid of my ex and I will not get in that trap again. To much BS and drama for me to put up with now.
Why do think married men die before the wife? Stay single and be happy.

To me a wife is not a whore ... a wife is a scammer / con artist in disguise.

At least when I hobby, no one gets hurt. I finish my session and go back to regular life.

Thanks Island Gent. Btw, I'm glad to see you again in the hobby.

The OP gave a very thoughtful post- much to think about

I know a fellow that is on his third wife... and he is still working at age 73! He says he cannot retire.

My SO at least leaves me alone and doesn't squawk too much at me

If I could do my life over, I would find a nice Spa lady and marry her

There are tons of women out there. There is NO need to marry a 'feminist' that will not go out and work and at least provide half the household income. I finally retired and stuck enough in my 401K to enjoy a comfortable retirement.

Mr 666 your write up is heart breaking. I think the wife by law should be given half of the estate and the kids should get the rest. Unfortunately that is the best legal settlement at this time. However, you cannot generalize cause one of my good friend married to a model wife fucked around all his life and the wife left him without seeking anything and she rebuilt her life and supported her kids all by herself. On the other hand hobbyist ho are providing service for money. You and I both know if the service is not good they will be not be seen again and will drop their revenue and forced to retire. On the other hand some ladies make you a king without any expectations. Let's no generalize. I am truly sorry for your friend.

Maybe he just wanted to die, rather than have to listen to any more blather about the global police state.

My sympathy for your loss, OP, and my appreciation of your post.

So much of morality is a social construct, and the original concept of "marriage" has long been outdated. (I could go off on quite a tangent here, and bore everybody completely to death. I think I'll just get naked.)

I have often thought that being a provider is a lot more honest than many professions, including my prior incarnations as a journalist and media relations agent. I lie less NOW, even when I'm on my back.

Sorry about your friend, but at least take solace in that he is just one of many 'good' guys to suffer in the current feminist-driven, pussy-whipped society. I have too many guys flushed down the drain like him. And the women all want to say that they JUST want "a loyal, smart, funny guy," no?

Sorry to hear about your friend, AC. A tragedy? Definitely. Your feeling the pain makes you write as if it is common. There you are wrong. Some, but quite far from all, wives fuck around. More, but quite far from all, husbands fuck around. Once, twice, a few times. Most often no harm, no foul, keep mouth shut. Sometimes folks get burned...and the marriage survives. Sometimes the marriage falls apart. In rare cases, tragedy results.

And as for the wives versus providers subplot to this thread? I am sure there are many like me on this board, good wife and good providers. Wife is a professional herself. Not trying to burn me, not trying to spend MY money. Loving and supportive always.

And after seeing a LOT of providers, I know what I like and how to screen. So I always have a good time. And, yes, i do mean always.

Our experiences shape our thoughts and beliefs. Said experiences include the emotional experiences of those we know and believe in. Also, we subconsciously give much more credence to stories/experiences that support our own views. Conversely, we subconsciously discount stories/experiences that do not agree with our world view. And lest we are vigilant, the older we are, the more we trust our beliefs to be truth, and the less likely we are to consider different but legitimate views.

Bottom line: keep an open mind. The wife you were born to love, for a few good years anyway, might say hello to you today.

***I believe in marriage. And I love to hobby.***

There is ZERO incentive to get married nowadays!!
I only see two reasons:
1. if you are very religious
2. you want to have kids

other than that I dont see one advantage

That is all very true.

6, it seems your basic complaint is about human nature, and human nature is a real motherfucker. That bad bitch's bad behavior, false morality, religious hypocrisy, economic inequality, a corrupt political system, and a dysfunctional legal system are all just functions of human nature. The underlying - and fatal - fallacy of most theories of philosophy and religion is that they disregard the fact that human nature is an almost entirely intractable thing. Attempts to set down rules regarding how people SHOULD behave are ab initio an exercise in futility. Any such theory, if it is to have any shot at viability, must begin with some assessment of how people DO behave and move forward from that point. One trick, of course, is getting that assessment right, and that ain't easy.
