The IRS doesn't care how you make your money. They only care that you pay your taxes.

Just ask Al Capone...

I wouldnt use those forms bc I truly feel I do nothing illegal. Being an entertainer is not illegal. Nor is a "therapist". I don't exchange sex for money EVER. Anyone that's dealt with me knows I'm adamant about that. I'll turn do apps quick over any mention of that bc it's NOT what I do. Have I hooked up worth guys I met via work....sure. That's not illegal though. Maybe I'm a swinger? I'm not looking to launder money via a fake business. I'm looking to open a legit business. Big difference.

Thanks Amber, BBG, elg and everyone who offered real advice. TL I will text you later hun. Yesterday was so busy with errands...ughh!
Exactly. The IRS has absolutely no jurisdiction whatsoever in illegal acts a taxpayer may be committing in earning their money and cannot notify anyone. The only legality they can look at is whether you are properly paying your taxes.

Dumping large sums of money into banks may raise the suspicion of other agencies for money laundering and/or how that money was earned, but the IRS doesn't care.

You can run a completely cash business for all the IRS cares, as long as they believe you are indeed claiming all your income. Having receipts (thus, setting up a dummy business) does lower the chances of an audit. But the IRS will only audit you if they believe you are not claiming all your income, not how you got your income.

I've wondered about this, also.

I think technically the filming of porn is only legal in California. And then all the actors have to be registered (to avoid underage situations) as well as the film itself. (That's why all those supposed bachelorette/dancing bear/bar orgy party films are fake. Everyone has to be registered beforehand. Otherwise, they would be illegal.)

Do not claim your hard earned cash!

Buy a small franchise and only pay tax on what you earn, such as Avon, Websites, Ebay seller, Catering, Vitamins, something that actually sells itself and you have no overhead and minimal book keeping. Find a cheap accountant that will file your quarterly taxes for around 200 a quarter. At that time you may loan the company monies, which you can pull out later without paying taxes on (providing that the company makes money) Then you could start taking a payroll check to show income. You are entitled to show a loss on your taxes by investing monies for a very long time.

Technically in the United States making or acting in porn is only legal in Los Angeles and New Hampshire, though this is hardly enforced so no need to pack your bags just yet. Surprisingly enough though most cities do not want a porn company moving into downtown, there are only a limited amount of areas zoned for “Adult Use” so make sure you have all your ducks in a row before you pay a security deposit.
from reading other sites also
No US law forbids making of porn. Problem is State and local laws.

trying to zero in on NYS

The State Senate passed legislation Wednesday that makes it a crime to disseminate “sexually intimate images or images of intimate parts of another person without that person’s explicit consent in order to harm, harass, scare or alarm that individual.” A first offense could result in one year in jail, while a repeat offense within 10 years would be a class E felony, punishable up to four years in prison.
so if make on with friend for self ok. just can not put on web or sell it.
and in NYS one can not pay to be a actor.
and all must be of age. duh

Do not now about other areas of Upset NY. But ROC use to have many live porn sex shows. All got closed down. Each got closed when a actor on stage started playing with someone in the audience. As if watching you paid to watch, so can not be part of. The last one I knew of was on State st in ROC. A RPD officer was taken by other RPD officers as part of his stag party soon to get married. He was in the front row. As the female actor was getting fucked by a male actor on stage. She gave out a free BBBJ to one of the patrol officers. Undercover in back saw it don.

so pay to be in porn could work tax wise. LE may have other thoughts
