Anyone controlling the senator making the decision had a master back in the home state and not down the hall. This politized all nominations including those of any court. Yes, someone can claim to support the Constitution and still recognize how much the process has been bastardized through the years till it is not the same system put together by Hamilton, Adams, and Marshall.
