For anyone who is having a hard time digesting how this will effect you in the long run:

http://www.cracked.com/quick-fixes/a...g-affects-you/

Here's the text from the link (sorry I don't have time to format it):

A 30-Second Guide to How the Gay Marriage Ruling Affects You

In light of the recent ruling, we have updated the following guide, originally published in June 2013:

In case you missed it, or just saw people screaming about it on Facebook, the U.S. Supreme Court just made the final decision legalizing gay marriage nationwide. Every time a ruling like this comes down, millions of people, most of whom are neither gay nor looking to get same-sex married, loudly ask how exactly it impacts their life ...

... so for them we provided a handy guide:

If You Are a Homosexual and Are Already Married:

If you had been lucky enough to live in a state that allowed gay marriage, the federal government already recognized your marriage as a thing, and you were eligible for tax, health, and pension benefits under federal law like any other married couple. Previously, if you had moved to another state that didn't recognize gay marriage, that state didn't have to recognize your marriage. Now, your marriage is recognized everywhere, the same as anyone else's.

If You Are a Homosexual and Want to Get Married:

Where before this came down to whether or not your state had legalized it, now you are free to do so regardless of which state you live in.

If You Are a Heterosexual and Do NOT Want to Enter into a Homosexual Marriage:

You will not be required to marry a gay person. This is a common misunderstanding. This decision actually does not affect you in any way.

If You Are Currently in a Heterosexual Marriage:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Is Not Currently Married:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Hopes to Eventually Marry:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Member of a Church That Performs Wedding Ceremonies but That Does Not Believe in Gay Marriage:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Religious Official Who Performs Wedding Ceremonies but Who Thinks Gay Marriage Is Wrong:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are an Individual Who Believes Gay Marriage or Homosexuality in General Is Wrong for Religious Reasons, and Wish to Continue Expressing Those Beliefs:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are an Individual Who Believes Gay Marriage or Homosexuality in General Is Wrong for Non-Religious Reasons, and Wish to Continue Expressing Those Beliefs:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Fears This Decision Adversely Affects Your Marriage or the Concept of Marriage in General:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Fears This Decision Negatively Affects You in Some Way:

This decision does not affect you in any way.

If You Are a Heterosexual Who Suffers Anger or Anxiety at the Thought of Gay Couples Getting Married as an Abstract Concept, and Believes the Only Cure Is to Legally Prevent Gay Marriage:

This decision will cause you some degree of anger or anxiety. Otherwise, this decision does not affect you in any way.

Hope this helps!

The problem is a selective reading of history that self-professed liberals/conservatives use to polarize each other. That is fact of history that if we don't learn from, Armegeddon will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Forget Isis
SARCASM ALERT @@@ it is the gays that will take down America!! Some one better tell the gov'ment, they have been fighting the wrong people.

Like that terrorist gay guy that ...... uhhhh. Hummm let me think a minute. ...... @@ SARCASM OVER

Oh wait tell me again how sucking some other guys dick is going to bring the country down?

Food for thought. Referencing what Tran said about there being too many people.

Like another friend told me , gay is an evolution of humans, where as a species just like developing different skin tones developed to cope with varying degrees of sun exposure, the human race is now evolving into a species that does not want to breed.

I know this is true because I had a vision of jesus that told me so.

I had a vision of Jesus that told me this Supreme Court decision was a curse by God because we Americans stopped burning witches. I was told we can break the curse by outlawing manginas.

THN... what it does do is create the never ending subsequent legal actions to follow. Polygamy is probably next, then some sort of animal marriage.

Also, lawsuits against churches not wanting to reside over these marriages.

If the govt would leave us alone this shit wouldnt happen.

I'm not a fan of legislation through the courts, mediavolume. But that is another subject entirely. Gay marriage is just another bread crumb.

What if....... the govt didnt give special treatment to married people. Or require proof for insurance etc. Then gay people wouldnt be seeking marriage.
i am neither a gay or a religious person but i can see who is causing the problem and its neither of those two groups. Its the govt. Same with women suffrage and black rights.

Same will be true for escorts, drugs, and more.

Me neither.

And as long as we are heterosexual, we never will. It is not part of our DNA. What I do and everyone with a heart should understand is that some people ARE programmed by their DNA to be attracted sexually to their gender. So for them it is as natural as me wanting to fuck women. And as was posted, their long overdue right to partner will have zero effect on our heterosexual lifestyle. Zero!

And for the record, it was not butt-fucking and carpet-munching or even butt-munching and carpet-fucking that brought about the downfall of Rome.

It was because they killed Jesus.

No, no, just kidding. No, what brought about the demise of Rome was that their empire and attempted influence became far too broad and unmanageable. NOW, if you can find a common denominator with that fact (and I believe it is very easy if you are not easily led by the NOISE that has become our modern information distribution system) and the USA of the last century and especially the last 40 years, then I would suggest you may be on to something. And I would suggest you would not only be correct but also should fear the changes "a blowin' in the wind."

But gays and lesbians and bisexuals and transgenders gaining equal rights to couple up like everyone else? Nah...Zero.

And yes, I am quite liberal--big surprise, huh? Of course, the gay marriage issue is only a left-right thing because the haters thumping their bibles as proof this is some evil scourge are representin' on the right. Without the evangelical vote necessary for conservative/republican electoral survival, this would have long ago been a non-issue and just the way things are and should be. Another of the great freedoms that I always thought this country stood for. If you ain't touching my nose, I won't punch you back in yours!

And the rewriting history thing? Again, nah...zero. The only rewriting of history is occurring in that same camp that demands the earth is 6000 years old or lied us into conflicts in the name of freedom but really in the name of the profits for their donor class. And, again, those folks are representin' on the right!

Yeah, be been wondering where my welfare check is this month, but I've just been too lazy spending my food stamps on prostitutes to waddle down to the mail box to look for it.

Actually, you have no idea how ridiculous you sound. Maybe one of my 12-15 employees can enlighten you if you drop by one of my two businesses this week.
