Take down the Confederate battle rag from any state or federal building.

If rednecks insist on displaying it, let them fly it in the titty bars where they hang out. That's where it belongs.

Hahahaha, what are you so impressed about? Could it be you can post over three thousand bullshit post inside a two month period on a hooker board, lol. You have way to much time on your hands genius. Why don't you exert some of that brilliance to a much better cause and spare us the agony of your nonsensical bullshit.

The Civil War was a tragic mistake. The Brits were able to outlaw slavery using debate and reason. Skillful diplomacy and the introduction of new science and technology could have eliminated slavery and reunited the union in possibly less time than it took to fight the war. The war cemented the hatred and gave it it deep roots which still exist today. Lincoln didn't want to free slaves, he wanted a united country with the states forced into subservience to the federal government. We could have taken a different approach. Had we done so, many of the problems we see today would not exist, and we'd be a more free country.

I'll exert what I want, when I want to exert it. Not before and not a goddamn second after.

Sadly, violence is in our DNA. We founded this country on it. It's 2015 and there are still lessons to be learned that we are too proud or too stubborn, to learn.

It has all the markings of another onslaught from the political correctness crowd.

What's next? Do all the "Six Flags" parks have to change their name to "Five Flags"?

Only a matter of time... They'll be waving this flag .

Oh, the same flag that you wave each time you surrender yourself to a prospective bfe.

Ask me again when you sober up.
Maybe by then it'll be something closer to the topic.

Well now that the battle flag of northern Virginia has been taken down I guess we won't need gun legislation.

There is a difference between acknowledging history and using a symbol as a rallying point for bigotry. I completely acknowledge that not everyone sees the confederate flags that way, but I hope you acknowledge that many--too many--do.

I have never seen the six flags logo used that way. If it becomes distorted in meaning, similar to the distortion of the swastika, then there may be a reason to change it. But I think that was hyperbole.

Which entirely misses the point you half-wit.

A significant percentage of the population is black in South Carolina. That battle flag stands for slavery and oppression as far as they are concerned. Should it be flying above the state capitol?

If they answer the truth, that as president they have no say in whether the flag flies or not and everyone condemns them as a racist. Lie about the answer and say that they will do something about it (when they can't) then they sound pretty feeble to those who know better. We had our own problem with this shit. Harrisonville, MO has a Confederate cemetery which had the Missouri Confederate flag flying over it. The then governor of the state interfered with a private matter (technically the state had taken over the cemetery) of a private cemetery.

You can believe what you want, right or wrong, but that flag is solely the business of the people of South Carolina.

But it doesn't change the fact that the "Stars and Bars" are there, Old-THUMPER.

For once, whiny isn't talking out his ass.

It should have been left up to the states. It's a "union" of the states after all. The northern ones would have abolished it while the southern ones would have continued their erroneous ways for quite some time.

As we progressed further and further into the 20th and 21st century, slavery would (quite obviously) have been outlawed by logic and reason.
