Wink Escort Friendly CPA/Tax guy...

Just letting you ladies know that I have a great CPA/Tax guy I've used for 8 plus years. He is also a client(not mine anymore). He does a lot for me and I can always depend on him.

PM for more info!

I doubt many pay taxes from all the "I can't get an apartment" "I need proof of income to buy a car" ads

My CPA rocks also! Love him, he keeps my LLC current and does an excellent job on my taxes. House, car, apartment, never had a challenge with any. Also provider friendly.

I see those posts also, I don't understand why ladies don't just file taxes, as opposed to printing fake stubs. 1099se is not that difficult.

It's easy to list one's self as an entertainer, romance consultant, etc.... The only stuff you can't write off is lube and rubbers, lol!

If it an ordinary and necessary business expense, which lube and rubbers would be, then you can deduct the expense.

I accidentally stumbled across this post. But any person you work with regarding your tax situation, should be able to organize, design, and create a PROPER entity to handle your situation. Run don't walk, and go find someone else. There are too many holes in the code not to take advantage of generating and reporting properly so that your business operates like any other business. The real trick is deciding on the right entity for you.

I've considered having a CPA, but need to compare rates and what is offered. I'm looking for someone who bills for services and isn't looking to trade a session for CPA services.

Lioness I would find it highly unethical if your professional wished to trade for services, I would continue to reach out and look around if i were you. I understand its just a biz to biz transaction, and yes I barter with my mechanic; however, some barter transactions should just not occur.

I totally disagree. Why is it OK to barter with one service and not the other?

I am going to assume that since you are on this board then you are partaking in these wonderful activities. If that's the case then it cant be the legalities of it. If someone is providing a service and wishes to barter for it then so be it...

I am in the financial industry and have been for 20 years. Luckily I have done quite well and I have often said to myself that if these ladies had someone to steer them in the right direction then they could actually create an exit strategy. Just like any GOOD business owner, the day you start a business is the day you should have an exit strategy. I would trade services in two seconds...

To each is own....

I didn't say that people can't barter service for service. I just personally choose to pay for service rather than trade. We all have preferences and reasons for doing what we do. I have no idea what a CPA makes hourly, but I doubt that it's $100. It wouldn't make sense for me to fill a one hour time slot by trading service for service, if I could make more by seeing another client and pay the CPA their rate. Speaking from a strictly business perspective.

I agree Lioness that one should make sound business decisions. Your a step ahead of most even thinking that way, so congrats!

Just for clarification... The tax guys I've used over the years charge differently for "Tax Work" and "Book Work". For the tax work it ranges from $175 to $300 per hour pending on experience.

Be safe!!!

I'll rephrase, its been my experience when bartering service for service its never ends well. Service is based purely on the illusion of value. I work in a variety of different geographically areas, and each of those cities or places have different rates and fees based on the location. Each service provider has their own perception of their value, this is where the lines get very blurred and becomes very easy for each service provider to nudge their fees to meet the barter, that's where it becomes unethical in my opinion. Of course, what i state here is purely my opinion and my experience alone.

I also agree with Juice here on the "low end" 300 per hour would be reasonable.
