The funny thing about this discussion is if any of our resident Liberal/Progressive/Socialist actually lived in Iran, they would be the first ones that the Mullahs would put against the wall.

Maybe it is my mistake but the America I remember was tied to protecting freedom all over the globe. Iran does not have Israel's freedom or well being in mind.

You should actually do a little research. The majority of the Iranian population don't hate Americans. You're confusing the people with their government. It's an all or nothing proposition with you though.
