Default ASPD-ECCIE

Apologies if this has been covered before, but way back when (like over 10 yrs. ago now), I used the old ASPD service. I was out of the hobby for several years, and when I got back, ASPD was pretty much defunct and ECCIE had emerged. Oddly, my old ASPD handle transferred over to ECCIE. So I was just wondering what happened, and if its possible to see the old ASPD threads somewhere. I was going over my history in the hobby, and would love to see some of my first reviews. Thanks for any input

It seems I recall a forum in the national forums about aspd. It's was a tribute forum. I have not seen it in a couple years. I had some reviews on ASPD also, I'm with you, would be interesting to go back and read some.

I concur and would love to read my Novice Reviews & other threads from ASPD too. That would be really cool, y'all!

Great thread topic! Thank you!

I just checked "wayback" ... there's archived pages there but the reviews, and even the co-ed discussion threads are dead links.

Too bad ... I found one thread from '05 that should have been interesting. It was titled "April of BR" ... hmmm ... wonder who that thread could have been about? :P

But as I said ... link was dead.

Maybe someone with better "Wayback Time Machine" skills could try to find them?

I don't think handles were automatically transferred. Pretty sure you had to sign up.

There are no threads from ASPD that carried over.

New members were allowed to copy some ASPD reviews when first joining in order to get PA credit from the start, but no reviews were automatically carried over. If you didn't post it here, it doesn't exist.

I think, but don't know for sure, that eRaps was a site that may have copied some ASPD stuff, but they didn't last long.

Everything is on Way Back Machine....Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. If it doesnt work on one particular date, then use another date. Sometimes it will tell you there is no link, then 10 minutes later there is a link to the review. Just keep clicking. But I got it to work pretty well with full reviews and comments, etc.
1.http://archive.org/web/
2.type in aspd.net
3.click on 2005
4.click a date with a blue circle
5.click forums
6.click New Orleans
or if you're lazy just click this link:
https://web.archive.org/web/20050306...s=&forumid=302

It's mostly there in its original form....some reviews are no longer there but many are still up there. Just change the date from the calendar page to find the links that work correctly.
